Three things I find astonishing:
1. How this song is melodically satisfying and catchy
2. How The Lemon Twigs managed to sound like a merge of many 60s/70s bands (as a lot of comments indicate) while remaining totally original and congruent to their own sound.
3. How they're not more famous?!?!?!?

idc what anyone says these two brothers are so incredibly talented , the fact that they put this 70s and 60s influenced music together so intricately arranged instrumentally and melodically plus the lyrics are always really well written too. They just hit a home run for me, i love this kind of music. They are so young and just have a hell of a future ahead.

Thank God for Shazam. I was having lunch in an outdoor pub with a couple of friends when suddenly this amazing fusion of 60s/70s/today started playing. I grabbed my phone and Shazam led me to it. It just makes me want to get up and dance. Amazing.
I think that Lemon Twigs have this really dreamy quality in their lyrics and even in their 70s style songs that they bring back to a new generation (the 70s was like 50 years ago)
Also they have this punch that a lot of bands these days don't have. Hard drums, weird and out of shape pianos and things.
I agree with you completely but I was NOT prepared to be told that 1970 was 50 years ago. I mean I know it's true, and I wasn't even born then anyways, so it shouldn't be that shocking, but still.... 😅

It was a pleasure working with these guys last week at the Orpheum Theatre in Vancouver, BC. I love this song and will give you credit when I play it myself, lol. As an old guy from an earlier era I love the Rickenbacker sound and the harmonies reminicent of the 70s. Best, Mike backstage in Vancouver.
This one feels very 60's compared to most of their work that is heavily 70's inspired. Love it.

Easily one of their best songs, glad to see they've continued to grow and evolve as musicians and songwriters. They've developed their own unique style without relying on the crutch of a stereotypical classic rock sound or feel!
