- The rechargeable Ledlenser H14R has, until now, been the brightest headlamp our H series had to o er . This new version increases the brightness from 220 (H14R) to up to 850 Lumen*. In this way, the new Ledlenser H14R.2 delivers an exceptional lighting performance that satisfies the requirements of expeditions, aid rescuers and is more than sufficient for ambitious hiking needs. The following features add to the convincing concept of the lamp: The ergonomic shape of the lamp, the easy handling of the new switch, and the possibility to add an additional rechargeable battery via an USB port. Thanks to this option, you can add rechargeable batteries to extend the lighting duration of the Ledlenser H14R.2 almost indefi nitely. The multiple function "wheel switch" on the battery compartment can also be switched as a rear light or can be used to show the battery capacity.
hi ukp571 i found a two page instruction booklet on the net, until i sat down with my light and followed the directions i was like yourself. it took all of 10 minutes and its actually less complicated then my previous h14r. Once set to your liking it becomes a three basic setting light with the front button, rear toggle to fine-tune light intensity, then choose how you want the battery pack to behave and you're set. good luck mate
If this dude starting break dancing during the strobe mode demonstration it would make this video epic
The one thousand Lumens are for 30 seconds only but mine runs a bit longer There is a safety feature to stop the light accidentally coming on in your bag or anything else when you pack it away . Read the instructions. This light is a serious bit of kit.Its awesome.Really.Just get used to the settings which are not difficult. I've ordered a second one for my wife.Im well impressed.
Is there anyways to let it run more than 30 seconds?
@@mrsamsebastian No because it will burnout the led light quickly. It's the heat build up it produces.Thats why it cuts off. I just keep pressing the button back on with no problems. Had the light for nearly 4 years now and still works perfectly.
I'm on my 3rd unit now. The other 2 the battery clip broken.
German technology maybe great, but not when it's made in China!
I find the plastic feel is cheap. Chinese probably using recycled plastic!
Good cheap labour, but these headlamps are not cheap either.
Just more profit for the LEDLENSER company.
Lets see how long this one lasts!

(received this morning)
Had mine for about 4 years or so. It's a great light but the battery pack is now held together with Gorilla tape and two elasticated charity wrist bands where the box clip snapped off , which does the job. However what I've never been happy with is how easily it gets turned on in my rucksack and then the batteries are rinsed when I come to use it. It needs some sort of competent power lock. Yes the low battery constant flashing is really annoying.
I purchased this lamp & even though it has a great beam this company has decided to overcomplicate the use of a lamp with so many settings it will bamboozle you...I would personally avoid if you're after a lamp with maybe 3/4 settings.
Does it still do the infuriating flashing when running out of battery like the earlier models?
Why does the advertised 1,000 lumen output require me to input the Konami code and then immediately go down to something in the 700 lumen after twenty seconds? Am I missing something?
Wheres the serial number located on this lamp?
hey what type of battery ?
Where can i get a new battery case, the one that came with mine is not what was advertised, missing some gold plates
you've got the never 1000 lumen revision. This uses single cell voltage as opposed to the older 850 lm version, which used two cells in series. It can be powered by a single 18650 cell. (But included battery is a pack of two in parallel for extra autonomy)
I have this light. How do I get it to strobe?
Hi all
I was just about to buy this H14R.2 headtorch until I read some of the comments. Now I'm going to buy a cheap Chinese one made in China for a tenth of the cost.
what does the r stand for
Rechargeable version.
Will this harm my cat?
CCornelius Are you going to feed it to your cat? Or put the headband round its neck and hang it form the ceiling? Otherwise I'm not sure how a headlamp could hurt your cat. Maybe I'm not using my imagination hard enough?
k9wazere
I thought it might be too heavy for her head.
OK, now I'm interested! Why would your cat be wearing a headtorch? :D
How else can she safely bicycle at night?
I must leave that question to somebody smarter than I. Perhaps the solution lies with a friendly Chinese circus bear and a tandem...
COMMON COMPONENT FAILURE - Imagine being that kayaker out on the water, in the darkness, when the batteries fall out behind you.!
ZERO Lumens because LEDLENSER failed to address the failure of their weak battery compartment cover clip.
A safety issue. Not a novelty. Not a reliable professional product and very poor attitude to common component failure.
Same with mine...batteryclip broke..
Don't believe the hype..the red cyclists lamp is seriously irritating..it constantly switches on and wastes power if the headlamp is in a pocket or rucksack..the older lensers were more practical and a better bargain
tode vole ..i found a mend for mine.......a hammer
tode vole ..sorry but a hammer is the ultimate gadget repair ....i can't be talked out of it lol...i know you can program it but I've never locked it..
