This video brought back so many wonderful memories. When I was an Elementary school librarian I had a tea party for my summer library students. The children had to wear there best Sunday clothes. We learned about manners and etiquette! I had apple juice and cookies. I used all my vintage and antique tea cups sets. We had so much fun, and the kids were so sweet and cute to each other. I was so excited to see you had a new visit for us today!
My children and now my grandchildren and I love to have tea parties. We find any excuse to have one. The Queens birthday, my husband’s birthday, Christmas morning tea. I even have a space called Noni’s Nook ( it is my cozy space set up for quilting and grandchildren) where my grandchildren and I have tea. They are 5 and 2 so I keep special tea things for them.

How I would love to attend one of your tea parties 😍 I used to have people for dinners and parties all the time, it was expected of me. After my divorce I stopped and concentrated on bringing up my children, ugly story ugly divorce. Now I'm not comfortable being around people but I do love all the pretty things. My children are all adults so they come over often and that's enough for me.

Good morning Rachel ~ this video was perfect timing for me ! I am hosting a Bridal Shower for our Granddaughter NEXT Spring and the theme of the Shower and Wedding is “Vintage Garden Party”, which I considers Tea Party and Garden Party go hand in hand for the look.
I have between 50-60 woman coming to this event ! HELP !!! LOL!! I have the China Plates ( 50 ) mismatched silverware ( for 50 ) and I’m starting my search for the stemware. We don’t have the Thrift Store near me, we have “Antique Stores” with high prices. So Etsy and eBay are my stores. ( But I’m helping small businesses is how I look at it. 🥰)
I’m stuck on centerpieces. That is usually my first inspiration and I go off that! But I am struggling with them this time. I have done Bridal Showers many times, many weddings, and Baby Showers… for some reason this has me stumped…maybe OVER THINKING ?
I have been searching Pinterest, You Tube Channels…so this was so perfect today ! I THANK YOU FOR THIS ! Maybe a deep breathe and allow myself some grace…the right vision will come 🙏

If only wish we lived closer ~ you'd be welcome to borrow anything you needed. It's great you have some time to find and budget for the tea party items. You might try looking on Facebook Marketplace as well, I've found lovely transfer-ware there.
For centerpieces... watering cans filled with faux flowers, birdhouses, tiny benches... just few ideas! I'm sure the creative juices will come. What a lovely opportunity! Blessings to you as well and have a fabulous weekend!

I just loved your tea party! I would have loved to have seen your a short shot at the end of your friends there enjoying all you had prepared . I love the mix and match. You have shown me that I can use everything I have. You asked what we do I had a spring brunch as a wrap up for my Bible study ladies. Oh how fun. So beautiful. I love lemon cookies and cake. I am now going for a cup of tea and a tiny bit of cheesecake. I have no cookies😭. I want to make these cookies and the orange apricot bread. Hello Rachel. This was delightful. I like the idea of lily of the valley with lavender. I'd never thought of that combination. The tableware was lovely and I especially liked the plates with the pretty greens. We used to have tea with lemon scones and/or lemon blueberry scones. And lavender lemonade. Great video! I especially loved the dishes with the pretty little florals and narrow bright green band. It looked like you had a large plate, platter and sugar bowl all in possibly the same pattern. Can you share what company these dishes were made by, and/or the pattern name if known?

Yes, I do have a few of the vintage green rimmed dishes ~ these were discovered in the thrift shop one day. On the back they say: "hand-painted from Japan". The platter is different pattern and says "Grace China" from Japan. Thank you for stopping by!
