Every time Mark plays a horror game with others it reinforces the fact horror becomes comedy the moment you aren’t alone
I feel like Dead Space 3 is a perfect example of this, alone it's dark and creepy and ominous and makes you uncomfortable when you round a corner, together you feel like an unstoppable buddy cop duo fighting aliens like space Macgyver and space rambo

Pretty much. When you're alone, you're very very afraid of something sneaking up on you, and you've got a solid sense of being alone, where no-one can save you but yourself. But when you add a friend, you've got a buddy to joke around and chat with, who can watch your back while you watch theirs. You become basically unstoppable.
@@RustyC216 Dead Space 3 was weird, though. It was a lot of fun to play as a shooter, but a LOT of content is intended for multiple people (bullshit monster closets, and some areas locked off from solo play entirely) so the traditional Dead Space player is just going to be frustrated with the first half and disappointed with the second. It was more intense than scary, so it only really shined on replay value.
Sorry, just my two cents as a big fan of that series.

I love the fact that they went through the cave backwards. they were supposed to find the climbing axe first with the pic of the chainsaw and then find the chainsaw, they entered the cave through the exit. These three playing games is just the best
Sometimes entering from the back is more fun than the traditional way.
When I played I ended up going through that way, there isn't really a right or wrong way.
honestly when i played i did the same thing, i looked at the drop and was like "eh that probably won't kill me" and jumped down lmfao
Well it's really not great design that you can enter through the exit... but I suppose it's good enough that they were able to complete it anyway.

Mark being afraid of the dark water in the caves was so interesting and made him seem so much more human to me. i think people tend to see celebrities or role models as something above mortal and seeing him hesitate and be freaked out by something that makes me personally very hesitant and afraid was really interesting. it was really nice watching someone share my sentiment about the freaky deep dark water

Hey Mark, just wanted to let you know, the reason they were eating each other is because their in different factions. The Darker skinned, taller ones are in a faction, their like the alpha chads. The lighter skinned more frail ones are in their own faction. The ones with skulls on their backs are leaders, if you have on paint they will be peaceful if your weapon is put away, and they will worship you. The ones with red skin are gods, and they will one hit you. (Their not totally peaceful if you have paint, they think your a redskin, which are like their gods, but if you turn your back they will still attempt to rape you. Just keep your weapon sheathed and they will pray and leave you alone.)

As a person who beat this game:
The first time going into any cave, especially without the proper resources, it the most terrifying thing I’ve ever experienced with gaming.
Same. Both multiplayer. On easy me and my friend beat in at around 70 days, then on hard survival we beat it in around 40. During that I learned that building a base at the plane crash near the sinkhole is horrible, occasionally five mutants may show up.
@@JustSway I think no matter where you go, mutants will show up (as the days progress) although I’ve noticed that building near rivers with trees is probably the best (if you need to get away either go in the river or up the tree)!
The only thing that could beat it is encountering virginia for the first time
@@JustSway me and my friends also got out plane crash near the sinkhole and we made our base right there. we also encountered a situation where multiple armsys and cowmen would come by on the daily when we weren’t out exploring. i think we finished hard survival in like 45-50 days once we had all our resource gathering stuff down pat.
@@leenaaneel8146 The patrol routes make up the spawn rate. One spot may have two or three mutants another will have five depending if patrol routes will merge. At one point we were fighting three Verginias then suddenly an armsy and cowman with some cannibals coming from the other side of the base. It was havoc.
