I don't understand. If I charge a flat rate for the customers entire order, what if the customer orders 10 of the same item, or 1 of this product and 2 of a different type product I sell. How does that work?
Great questions, So I would recommend that they hit a certain amount prior to offering a standard flat rate or a free shipping. You can also break down the shipping per product as well. What I would do is have a banner that shows stating combine your purchase with "X Product" and get free shipping / Reduce your shipping by $x Amount.
how do you handle shipping behind the scenes?, where to receive shipping labels? how to acquire accurate shipping rates from my shipping location to customers location?
Hey carelessmen! I apologize about the very late reply here. Over the last year I was just so focused on building my agency and really put RUclips aside. Really appreicate your comment and I will answer this to the best of my ability here. If you haven't already found the answer, which I'm sure you did, but want to at least respond: When you are in your Wix dashboard, go to the app store on the left hand side navigation panel. Search for shipping labels and a bunch of plugins will pop up for you. Once you install that into your site, it will let you upload different carries and be able to print those labels directly through the app... depending on which app you choose. Most of them have a monthly cost for but it gives you discounts on shipping labels. You can also now include USPS shipping rates within settings and it will calculate the shipping cost for the client at checkout. I hope this helped you out and wishing you all the best of luck. If want, feel free to head to my website and give me a call! Always willing to help do a walk through as well.
I have a question. If setting up shipping charges by weight, how can I set up the automatic calculating function for the products as I am doing shipping company and selling products between Canada and Hong Kong? I have manually set up ranges from 0.5kg - 1kg, 1 - 1.5kg and so many ranges thereafter, what if customers order 15kg (maybe a lot more) of products (e.g. supplements and snacks)? Do I need to spend an hour to key in ranges manually for real?
Same, I'm selling a product that is heavy and shipping is going to be way different depending on if you live in the same area or on the opposite coast.
Hey versa, great questions and apologize for the late contact here! Was really focusing on my agency and ready to take on this next chapter in my company and start bringing better and more informative videos! To answer your question, you will have to include the weight per product within the product section itself. Once you do that, go to settings and then click USPS shipping rates/the method of box and/or way you are shipping the product. Then when the client goes to check out the calculation of shipping your product will be much more accurate. You probably already figured it out since it has been more than a YEAR AGO! However, if you do have any other questions, feel free to head to my website: strattonterrace.com and hit the call button. I don't mind doing walk throughs and helping you out with any other questions you may have in the future! Hope all is well!

What I would recommend for something international is the Plug-In Shippo! This will help you with your international shipping needs.
thank you, very informative
