    *Solid, **Fastly.Cool** and gets the job done. For RV where window-mounted air conditioning is not an option, this works very well. Easy set up, rapid cooling, and great design.*

    Hey Paul!!! So awesome to see you and your cat!! That's cool you're replacing the blower motor yourself. That's good you got the whole kit instead of just the motor. Good idea on taking photos of everything before taking it apart!! We agree.. if you're up there.. may as well clean it all!! Sounds like it's blowing really well now!! Awesome video and thanks for sharing!!! Lots of love to you and Jesse!!

    Thank you so much for making this video! I have a similar Dometic Duo AC, but it is MUCH MUCH older (probably from when my camper was built in 1080) that is assembled in the same way. I could find no videos online of how to disassemble this type of unit! I really wanted to clean the unit inside and out and this video will help me out a lot!

    Thank you for this video. This gave us the hint we needed to replace the frozen-up fan motor on our unit. You glossed over how difficult it is to get at the screw that holds the squirrel-cage fan onto the motor shaft, I think. That took us about two-thirds of the total time to replace the motor. Everything else was easy.

    • @MileAfterMile
      @MileAfterMile  4 года назад

      Hey Kevin, glad the video was a little help to you and that you were able to get your unit up and running. I didn’t have any issue getting the squirrel-cage fan out, other than having to loosen the front radiator assembly. I used a short handled screw driver that allowed me to gain access to the screw with no issues. I spent about an hour and a half on this project and that was with filming it, which made the job about twice as long as it would have been normally. Thanks for the comment and hope you have a great weekend!

      @@MileAfterMile hey there. I’m doing similar replacement as the one in this video. However, can I get my fan motor to cut on now. I’m looking at the wiring diagram from Deorro firm, and it appears that there’s a green and yellow wire that is supposed to be used to ground the unit out

    Thanks for sharing this information. I’ve got a dometic B57915.712JO I bought new blower wheeel and fan blade but the new blower seems out of round just like the other. Not sure if is the motor shaft itself. I played he’ll getting the old wheel off & had to beat the new one on the shaft. Is it supposed to be that tight?The shaft doesn’t seem to be bent. So I’m like if I get a new motor how am I gonna put the new wires in the plug that goes to the thermostat control box. Was wondering how you took that plug apart without breaking the plastic ?

    So I have the exact same model but older, the motor is fine but the unit was collecting water, drain off was clogged, so, long story short, the squirrel cage needs cleaned, I got the clamp off, (it was secured with a nut so I used a socket, easy), but, I’m not sure why since it is plastic, not metal, it won’t budge, the old one is white plastic, and I will have to break it to remove it, so I ordered the whole motor kit as a preventative measure I will replace everything, maybe I’ll have less vibration. Thanks for this video, makes it easy.

      @MileAfterMile  4 года назад

      Hey John, honestly it has been a while now since I completed this project that the details are a little blurry, but from what I remember, I pretty much followed the color code of the new unit to the control panel. It seems like a couple of the colors didn’t match between the old wiring and the new unit, but I was able to figure out which went where with a tester and the instructions. Wish I could remember more details on it, but it’s been too long now and I’ve slept a few times since then.
      Hope you are able to get it working, if you have any other questions or if I can be of any help, give me a shout and I’ll be more than happy to try to help.

      If you can measure the shaft length on both ends and the mount spacing, you can check to see if this motor will fit. www.boatandrvaccessories.com/products/dometic-3315332005-broad-ocean-fan-motor-for-brisk-air-ii-rv-air-conditioners?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIvNTq77ui6QIV3f_jBx2PDAEzEAQYAyABEgJaHvD_BwE
      After doing some research on that year and model 622, there are only three motors that are coming up. One of them should work, just need to check to see if the measurements are the same on yours as one of the three. Hope that helps you get a little closer to getting it fixed.
