I have this on my phone but it's very animated and i don't like it. I prefer this view by a mile. Can i get this version on mobile or is this on pc or something? Sorry, i appreciate this is probably a stupid question but i've quite new to root digital
Does the digital version have cross-platform play? I got it on iOS a while back, but I don't want to buy into all the expansions if I can't play with Steam friends.
Or if you do cuts, then it might be nice to explain a bit more what happened during the cut. Though that would require either doing voice over afterwards or pre-empting when you'd cut at the time, which might be tricky.
Note that at 14:15 you could have looted at no cost, since neither the wrathful or defenseless hits are cancelled by looting, and youd immediately get another action to deal the 3rd hit. We might just approach the hundreds differently, but I thought it was odd that you didn't craft the boot you started with. I would really want to start rabbit with that hand just because the t1 craft lets you build in a second clearing immediately. Also, I basically never take a crossbow into my horde because I often spend half of the game stubborn. Seems rough to cut yourself off from the best mood for likeky the whole game with your first craft.
@@lovingwords472 this is certainly not optimal play. But I’m just playing with discord friends. Not trying to win the next root tournament. I always record these and talk as I go and I realized that affects my gameplay greatly. It’s tough to talk and play optimally. Also I’m likely rusty. Everyone always drafts rats before I got to them in person games. I’ve never been super into them so I need to warm up for sure. The looting mistake was sad. I remember later
No, that's totally fair. I find it interesting to analyze games like this just to get better, but I don't mean to hold you to an optimal standard of play. Thanks for creating this content and inspiring so many in the community! Having watched the rest of the video, the things that stick out are 1) you should have prioritized looting more, and clearing ruins in e.g. the double stronghold mouse clearing, since those extra actions could helped you close out the game earlier by a turn or two, 2) I would have prioritized crafting charm offensive when it came into your hand, and riding the ferry more, since IMO card draw is such a rate limiter for the LOTH, and 3) the lavish play didnt pencil out for me, I don't think the mood is any good except for the last or penultimate turn since 2 troops for one action per turn rest of game is a bad deal (even if it's your 2nd item in the row IMO). My mindset for both marauders factions is just to prioritize action econ over score because your full engine for both is really strong and enemies can't destroy it.
@LordoftheBoard For sure. It makes Sense they release ALL hirelings together instead of 4 now and the rest later... But its still disapointed. Waited so long, and the expansion is missing a Key feature =\

Fun game, though it might be better with a bit less editing as it got difficult to follow what the other players were doing at times
