In my opinion, AURORA is simply the best singer/songwriter on the music scene today! Even though she wasn't the primary writer for this particular song, she managed to transform it into something special (I have heard that she finessed -- essentially 'Aurorasized' -- the final version). When initially asked if she wanted to perform a song for the NRK advent TV series, "Aurora flew in like a wind" and was so dynamic and impressive that the song was elevated to become the theme song for the entire series.
He he.. this for the advendt kalender for children on the public tv ( norwegian broadcast televisjon) - by the way she sings in her dialect - bergensk❤️- and its in the norwegian folktradisjon way. But its Aurora❤️🥰
Got to love of NRK (our sister to the British BBC for those who could need subtitles for Aurora's lyrics - being non-advertise based since we collectively pay for it). Still throwing actual resources to children programming and production value.
Great man! She gave always her heart out... even in a Xmas calendar. I am from Sweden myself and we have often so much argument and fight between our countries... But we love each other almost anyway. AURORA have only a few song in her native language but they are always heartfelt and it brings so much depth and beauty. I love this song so much even though she did not do it herself. Thanks man for bringing out it to RUclips inhabitans.
Stjernstøv/Stardust is an advent calendar series made for TV for Norwegian kids watching the official Norwegian channel NRK. Every 1-24. december, NRK makes a small childrens series for about 15 minutes every day, called the annual advent calendar, with a lot of extra materials made on the side, like mittens, hats, sweaters etc with the NRKs logo on for sale. Children usually loves the advent calendar series and the extras are always a big success. This years advent calendar is about a kid that moves to a new town after a divorce and finds a mysterious girl living in the addict of the block he moves into. This girl is from a mysterious folk and can bend snow and weather and don't feel the cold. Aurora made the signature song for the series. I heard lines like "the stars are shining bright and can lead you home"..
Been watching the series with English subtitles (through Google Translate). AURORA's song is just so perfectly suited to the storyline, and her vocals are perfectly ethereal! I find that this song is fast becoming one of my all-time favorites from AURORA!
I found this translation on lyricstranslate.com by someone called «cinaedn»: See the storm calms down now You stand up, my friend And you know right away where you want to go And the road is easy again For the star shines bright Helps you find the way home to me The star shines bright Helps you find the way home to me Helps you find the way home to me When the world is too large And the road is all too steep You can turn towards the North Even in this dark night Where the star shines bright Helps you find the way home to me The star shines bright Helps you find the way home to me Helps you find the way home to me You can travel as far as you want You can choose your own road Through forests, over seas and mountains The star shines bright for you The storm calms down now You stand up, my friend You'll always find the road home The road that exists in you lyricstranslate.com/en/stjernestov-stardust.html
Hi, I came across your youtube channel some minutes ago and started diving into your sea of reactions. I must say that I'm very pleased that you chose to react to this song by Aurora, which is a really stunning song and clearly is inspired by traditional music. Like somebody suggested before me, I would also warmly recommend giving a moment to another brand new release: "Vinterens gåte" (meaning: The riddle of winter). That is a new song written and performed by Aurora. I think the world could bare to hear her singing even more songs in her mother tongue. Her distinct accent from the West cost really suits these types of songs very well. And I trust that it's not by chance that several other female singers also from the western part of Norway are noticed world wide for their crystal clear voices and how even their pronunciation in English is noticed, as their accents and how the vowels are pronounced and the use of consonants and traditional singing techniques are not left out when singing in English as well as in Norwegian. That alone adds an element to the music that you would hear not too many other places. I would say that in addition to Norway and music from the former Norwegian areas Iceland and the Faroe Islands and to some extent in Sweden, even in Irish or Scottish music that is closely related to the Norwegian music, but not as much elsewhere and which is a pure pleasure to listen to. In Denmark for instant, the sounds of the language are completely different and neither have they kept traditional music alive to the same extent, as the case is for us living further to the North in Europe. Where tradition has been standing stronger and been kept alive continuously through the history and surviving the strong influence from the outside world. Therefore it seem heartwarming to me when people from other places welcome this type of music very much. I remember growing up loving traditional music and feeling that it was embarrassing to like it, and not cool enough. It's not that many years ago since felt that singing in my own mother tongue was regarded as not good enough as singing in English, and that traditional music was laughed upon. This seem to change, and I feel that this change is needed to not miss out on the opportunity for traditional music to survive also for the future and to keep spreading joy and good feelings to people anywhere. Merry Christmas to you here from Norway, by the way :-)
Aurora is so good at finding the true sound of a song. She is capable of carrying a song with a gentle voice, not having to rely on big belts and slides all the time. Best in the business imho.
Among artists and in the music industry the Norwegian singer AURORA is synonymous with quality, and she can fill a record with masterpieces time and time again. Many others are glad they manage one. Billie Eilish said in an interview that it was AURORA that made her become an artist and we were inspired to listen to her.
Here is the new song including the original musicvideo from Aurora for the Norwegian advent callender TV series: ruclips.net/video/4QjHpi9hYWE/видео.html "Star Dust" is about Jo, a boy of nine years, who experiences that his parents are going to divorce. He has to move with his mother and siblings to a new place, and experiences a difficult beginning in the Christmas month. Jo is very interested in the stars and the universe, he loves hockey and is captain of his team. Jo's father, Steinar, is an astronomer, and together they often look up at the starry sky. Jo learns that Nordstjerna ( North Star ) is the guiding star he can always follow. Jo is described as sensitive, but instead of talking about what is difficult, he escapes, gets tough and hard, and pushes people away. When he misses his father, and when things get difficult in the new place, he finds Nordstjerna again. But suddenly Jo discovers that the star goes out. Shortly afterwards, Jo finds a girl named Elly in the attic. She is described as strong, fearless and with a well-developed competitive instinct. Elly comes from a fairytale people called the "Star People" in the North. It is as far north in the world as it is possible to get, just below Nordstjerna. Elly is the star child, the one who gives power and light to the North Star. She has magical powers that allow her to control snow and ice, and she does not feel cold. Elly can not get home again until Nordstjerna lights up, and she needs help from Jo. Jo and Elly have different skills, challenges and longings. Elly gives Jo the courage to cope with all the new things that are happening in his life
Stjernestøv/ stardust (from the children’s Christmas calendar Norway 2020) Music: Gaute Tønder, lyrics; Karianne Lund and Ida Sagmo Tvedte. Performed by Aurora Aksnes. Story teller voice from the first minutes of episode December 1st”: There are millions and trillions of stars only in our galaxy are there 200 millards of stars. All life on earth, alle the human beings are made of starsdust. (Daddy, mommy), you and I are made of stardust. No matter what happens, where we are, we are made of the same and we will always belong together.

Great reaction. Now it's time to start doing Pentatonix Christmas music. Pay attention to editing watch Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. They want a Grammy or a song with no words. 12 Days of Christmas is really good and Mary Did You Know. A while back they release Amazing Grace and not so far back a release in the original piece called thank you. There's also happy now, love again come to mind as original pieces as well as be my eyes.
This is beautiful. Pls also react to Zhou Shen. He has an amazing voice and was in the Singer this year. His most famous song is “Big fish”. A soundtrack from the child movie “Big fish and Begonia”. Also worth listening to is “Da la beng ba” and “Upwards to the moon”. Pls don’t miss this star with an extraordinary voice. Love from Sweden 🇸🇪
Aurora didn't write this song. In an interview one of the songwriters said that she was their dream choice for singing it, but they didn't think she would say yes. When she did, she came in and lifted the song up to a new level.
She does a lot more in terms of genre. You MUST listen to The Seed. This was a song written for a children's show. Not her usual. My link to a live performance of hers: The Seed (live at HAIK) - ruclips.net/video/qQQd5gNkIwU/видео.html
Hello. Wishing you a Merry Christmas. Here are suggestions for a great Christmas song and artist. Maria Mena with Home for Christmas. In Norway, this is one of the most popular Christmas songs, is one of the songs that are most listened to at Christmas here in Norway. Keep up the good work.
