Miniature Bonsai Tree - Polymer Clay Tutorial

- Hi guys! Today we're making this cute Bonsai Tree ^^ I've been wanting to make this for quite a while and finally got around to it :) You can custumize it by making a different type of tree or pot :) The plastic powder stuff I used for the top is called Flower Soft :)
Good to know:
I work in 1:12 scale, but you can make them in any size you want and add headpins to make them charms :) I used a mix of the polymer clay brands Fimo and Cernit, but you can use any brand you like. The liquid clay I use is from the brand Fimo. My mold maker is from Siligum/Sili-put.

It looks like the netting you use to make the underskirt petticoat just all chopped up extra fine :-) but that's made of nylon/polyester :-) so not sure, the other option would be the plastic bags you get when buying a bag of onions or something :-) I have seen some that are green but the most common colour has been orange :-/

Jackie Rosario you should usually bake the clay before you paint it, because baking paint may make it cracked.

05:36 but why do you need the black sand in the liquid clay anyway
+Three Sweetangles She used tacky glue (like Aleene's tacky glue) to mix the sand in. The glue will dry clear. By mixing it in, she had control over it and avoided 2nd and 3rd coats. I thought it was genius.

Is there a brand name for the items you used for the grass and leaves? I am looking for this kind of items for trees and plants for my miniatures for my dollhouse.
Sorry if this is a bit of a late reply, however, I'd like to help a bit, since that material seems pretty useful for miniatures. From a comment that Akameru replied to, I've found out that it's "Flower Soft", and you can buy them online, or, if you can find it at one, a fair.
