Lie is Jimin's first solo song and his first solo work as lyricist. He wrote the lyric by himself to talk about his past self, and also to show that he has move on from that state. His voice is unique, he has his own voice color that even general public in South Korea noticed about it too. He has the best way to deliver the emotions of the song through the way he sings and the way he dances. That's why for the chorus part and the climax part, it hits your heart right away. He is amazing singer, because for most of people the singers' job is to deliver the emotions of the song so they can give strength or can warm the heart of people who listen to their song. And Jimin always does that with his solo songs. You should check his other solo song: Serendipity. It is too beautiful to be true.

I'd suggest checking out the lyrics/translation of this song. It's honestly a bit dark, depicting trying to get out of this lie/temptation. The chorus "Caught in a lie, find back the pure me" is also theorized that this song tells of Jimin's struggles in depression, perfection; he would really beat himself/mull over mistakes he's done performing, his body image as in his early debut days haters called him fat and got into an intense diet that he would collapse. :( But, it's alright now. He's coping with things, and the other members also help him out. He's more accepting that there's no absolute perfection, and he doesn't berate himself and instead focuses on being better.

Jimin has yoongi’s favorite voice and that says a lot if only he could realize how beautiful and angelic and tranquil and edgy his voice is!!! He just has this thing to his voice which I have no idea how to describe which just keeps you on the edge of your seat it’s very alluring and captivating but still very peaceful. The chorus "Caught in a lie, find back the pure me" is also theorized that this song tells of Jimin's struggles in depression, perfection; he would really beat himself/mull over mistakes he's done performing, his body image as in his early debut days haters called him fat and got into an intense diet that he would collapse. :(
But, it's alright now. He's coping with things, and the other members also help him out. He's more accepting that there's no absolute perfection, and he doesn't berate himself and instead focuses on being better.

Jimin has yoongi’s favorite voice and that says a lot if only he could realize how beautiful and angelic and tranquil and edgy his voice is!!! He just has this thing to his voice which I have no idea how to describe which just keeps you on the edge of your seat it’s very alluring and captivating but still very peaceful. That’s the closest I can get to describing his voice since I’m not a singer. But he really has my favorite voice in bts. I don’t know his voice just makes me feel more, it conveys emotions to me more than the other member.his and taehyung the most.
