So very recently I talked to my mom to invite her to my baby shower for my first baby, but mentioned I didn’t want to invite my bro in law who touched me and tried sleeping with me when I was 9. I was planning on inviting my sister and telling her that her husband wasn’t welcome, and well if my sister didn’t want to come it would be whatever. But my mom also said that if that man wasn’t welcome & it caused my sister to not come that they wouldn’t show up either. They’ve always taken his side, it’s like they love him more than they ever loved me.
Long story short it gave me the push I needed to finally cut every one off.

The part you said about how women can hurt you more than men is often something said by women who have bad relationships with their mothers. I am not trying to diagnose anything but hear me out. My mom was not the person who should have protected her daughters. She was also a woman of harsh words. No one can ever hurt my feelings with words to this day because they’re never gonna say anything worse to me than the stuff my mom had me believe about myself. Now that I’m older I healed from that and I know the stuff she said I was or become was not destiny written in stone. Hurt people hurt people. But I use to take so much shot from men because like you said, their emotional manipulation attempts and their ways to hurt you are either physical or don’t compare to something a mom who didn’t protect you, and even turned on you…. said. When an older woman doesn’t like me and says shit to me or treats me like shit? I get so nervous. I don’t take their attitude personal anymore. But for some reason the way they treat me affects me way more than the negativity I might get from a man

It's really crazy how similar my childhood/teen years are to Lex's. It makes me sad and angry sometimes when I watch sometimes like this one bc its just a reminder of how many adults failed us. I wish that I would've had a friend like little Lex bc it would've been nice to have someone who understood. Growing up none of my friends understood bc they didn't go through what I had gone through and it made me feel very lonely, misunderstood, and a little embarrassed. I know it might sound crazy but watching her story times is healing in a way bc it makes me realize that I wasn't the only one going through all of these horrible things.

You make me feel so loved and seen 😭 I would give anything to be friends with you! I feel like you’d understand me. I also have trouble dealing with things that my family has done to me that just isn’t fucking fair… and I have trouble dealing with this trauma because to this day I never knew what I did to deserve what they’ve done to me and none of my other siblings were treated like I am/ was.

It’s very patronizing & condescending of those words to leave come to her head, touch her tongue, and leave her damn mouff (mouth) Lol! Forgive me! Cause I know she is your mom ( you mom & min are too similar, as you & I have lived very similar almost exact lives on 2 opposite sides of the world lol) but….
