- ■ PHILIPPINES, SIARGAO: After riding for a good 6 hours we were running critically low on fuel. Seeing as we had not yet eaten breakfast either energy was running low. In other words it was already waaaay past pork o'clock!
This being the Philippines though a luscious juicy looking pork meal is never too hard to locate.....

You would noticed too that after she received the money, she asked for Harald's name instead of just thanking him right away. In the Filipino culture, it's a custom that you acknowledge the name of the person in return for the deed and introduce yourself. :)

Of all the countries you have visited Harald, the Philippines has been my favorite. Its not often seen in such a light, all we hear in the media is corruption, shoe collections or natural disasters. The Filipino people are what makes this country what it is, always smiling, always happy, always friendly, love them.

Tim is a nice guy, always smiling and has a great sense of humor .. He s a food and travel lover like Harold , that s why they teamed up and the proof of what im saying is true is that Harold likes him a lot.. Tim is a great companion .. It s just not all people are prof bloggers and Tim is not so keen on RUclips stuff like Harold takes it seriously as it s his job.. However, Tim is just a guest and has his persona ..I have never seen him rude, dont know what you guys are talking about.. The whole family at Danao Food & Drinks are absolutely awesome. The kitchen is clean and the lady that prepares the food is so kind hearted and I love her almost naughty comments, "kaput". Aaahhh just fantastic people. The lady that brought you the coconuts appreciate the goodness of you and Tim. Tim is the kind of guy that I will go to any place with. He is just a fabulous partner.

It's perfectly normal for us Filipinas to be barefoot when guests around were wearing shoes. Just wanted to be comfortable ourselves and also comfortable for visitors and not restrict people to removing shoes or hat when visiting a restaurant. It's the beautiful nature of being yourself without obligations. Our bare feet are always exposed and we are immune to removing shoes indoors as we got use to being barefoot to visitors wearing shoes and our toes have touched their shoes countless times!! :))

Kristopher Haas in Philippines it’s like a no obligations thing or rule that people have to follow just have to maintain proper manners and respect would be enough. Like this video, they wanted Tim to feel comfortable or not feel restricted to wearing shoes. Hence she just let him in with shoes even though she stays barefooted. It’s a way of flexible life ;))

@@ElBorichamo, some Filipinos who migrated to the US to escape poverty has that mentality. They don't have a good memory of where they came from. Then when they have kids (in this case your friend), they teach their kids that their motherland is not good. They will tell their kids all the negative things about their motherland. It understandable then that the kids will take it from their parents and also dislike or show no interest from where their parents have come from. Just let him be. He is not ready to face his past.
