Eyyy I got mentioned :D Anyways, to add to your point at 5:39 onwards: Daytripper doesn't need to snake particularly often since most of the long straightaways in the game give players more than enough opportunity to charge an SMT on a turn beforehand (rDS, rBC and MC all come to mind), thereby allowing it to cruise through a good ~60% of the straight. This can be extended by powersliding right as the boost is about to end though; it should be enough to get you to the next turn. I'd argue that it isn't really the speed or the miniturbo that makes the Daytripper so broken on its own (the Cheep Charger is identical in both stats iirc). Rather, it's this frontrunning ability *in tandem with* excellent midpack prowess, meaning it can take a beating and power through the pack even it does fall behind. Good acceleration and handling are such a unique trait for a Mini-Turbo vehicle in Riibalanced and I love the idea of a "safety net" for such an archetype, but there's a reason why the Shooting Star, the Cheep Charger and the Quacker are so much more balanced; they're all punished severely for losing their rhythm whereas the Daytripper just gets a slap on the wrist. All that is to say... Daytripper is too good for snaking I guess lmao
Daytripper does have 5 frames more mt than cheep charger, and it's the significantly higher turning speed, acceleration, and weight that make it better for mid pack playing.
The amount of work you and everyone else puts into this game is insane! Before you announced your future plans for your channel I didn't even know there was a competitive Mario Strikers, but I'm definitely checking it out once Battle League releases. Thanks for really being such a big part of one of my favourite gaming communities for so long! 3:25 Mini turbo speed doesn't grant you any offroad benefits on rsl. The offroad multiplier still takes effect with the vehicle's mt speed and you lose the same proportion of speed as without.
If you're cutting a 5.1 release, could you also release a variant with original (or HD original) HUD icon textures? The flat shaded icons are the worst part of Riibalanced to me.
Can you make it so the thundercloud gives you a shell hitting effect rather than make you small? I feel like making the timer longer just delays the problem rather than alleviate it.
