This song makes me want to cry.
It's been two years since i heard this song for the first time. I still can't believe it exists. I still can't believe it's perfection. I remember walking home from school listening to this. It was just me and my earphones.
I felt so lucky to know this song even though I was suffering so much. I felt really really lucky to have the pleasure of having Mr moses in my life somehow...

Nietzsches mental and physical breakdown happened in the streets, when he saw a man beating his horse. Nietzsche went to the horse and broke down and never recovered. This scene "reminds" me of that....

I thought i reconized the " horse sculpture " its by Berlinde De Bruyckere, whose unsettling wax sculptures of dead horses with real horse skin symbolize the human emotions surrounding death and mortality.

Moses character loves and cherish only 1 horse, however when that loved horse acknowledges how moses treats the same species of horses he becomes disgusted and runs off. Moses runs after him but the relationship has been ruined. They can’t be lovers since he’s the other species moses’s character mistreats. So, the horses of the other species stick together against moses. At the end moses gets to see how it feels to be them! Hence any strained relationships due to race or creed. If we love 1 we should love the entire breed, group etc. Otherwise we can’t be together unless you respect my kind!

Brilliant. In my mind I had one story/theme from the lyrics and to reinterpret it as another for the video is *brilliant*
So he grooms them...to kill them. But they gang up and defeat the evil!! 🔥🔥🔥🤧
No..he doesn't kill them...he castrates them. Thats the reason for the razor. If you watch the video again, you'll see the result on the tied up ones on the ground...Also, I think he is making a racial statement as the castration only seems to have befallen the dark brown horses...the horse is a metaphor for lynched black males as objects of sexual fascination.
the only time we see the white horse before the end is at:28 seconds in and the white horse is veiled...i take that veil to mean shielded or placed on a pedestal as compared to the other horses...i think it is a metaphor for the way white males place their white wives on a pedestal of untouchable virtue, meanwhile feel free and uninhibited with other non-white women. Also, another reason I think the metaphor works is the training scenes, again symbolizing the limited role that the slavemaster had for his chattel...and then the final step- castrating the brown/black horse while leaving the white horse, untouched. This makes the conclusion that much more interesting because it is the white horse which joins the tan, brown, and black horses in the end to surround and post revenge on the slavemaster, himself a beast, symbolized by his hoofs.

you the GOAT ....great interpretation! i thought it was an man going insane who wanted to be a horse so he could have sex with the horses and i liked the lyrics but didn't get what the correlation... even thought your explanation makes sense how does that connect to the lyrics...i think i may have to thing about it some more... this one is quite deep... but i love contemplating stuff like this! I often am able to understand most visualizations of deep thoughts... but this dude is on another level i see.
