  • Disaster strikes! Join me as I attempt to fit a Backscene, it bubbles, it creases its a disaster BUT as of uploading this video now the bubbles and creases have drawn back making it look 1000x better than it did. I think in future I will be resorting to self adhesive backscenes.
We discuss track plans roughly and look at some west hill wagon works items that I have received.
I still need to finalise track plans to then allow me to figure out where I need to cut in the side to travel to the next board.

Have been thinking of a similar project for last few years - in N gauge rather than OO and based in The Great Train Robbery - great idea re really useful box

That’s a brilliant idea and I hope you definitely have a go at that- The Great Train Robbery would be brilliant layout.

Where’d you order the box from? That’s a great idea for storing it and keeping it from getting destroyed in transit places.

Hi, the box came from Amazon but there’s a few places online that stock it. 77litre really useful box. Thanks

Hi, you would have been better off using paint.

Hi, I did consider that as an option but wanted to try my hand at fitting a backscene. Thankfully the bubbles etc have drawn back quite a bit now a few days have passed and I think I can get away with using it 😊 for the future modular boards I will be using self adhesive backscenes. Thank you

Yep it's a bit like wallpaper - as it dries out the bubbles generally disappear. I had a nightmare with this as well. Just have to take your time but I have the added problem of having my layout in an uninsulated loft so it was never going to be perfect!

@@jonsloftrailway yes thankfully they have disappeared, not all of them but enough that I’m happy as a first attempt 😊

Wallpaper paste is a lot better.
