Was just in Bonaire. I just want to say your videos are an invaluable resource that anyone considering diving in Bonaire should view. The video quality is amazing and the descriptions are dead on accurate. Thanks for all your labor in putting these absolutely brilliant videos together.

Thank you Rob! We are working the logistics of getting our newer boat here. We will eventually do a video on that and all that was involved. A lot of moving parts to making it happen. We will have some stories to tell.

Awesome video! I am going to Bonaire soon and will try Red Slave. I have been to the island before but skipped this dive because the entry looked more difficult.

Thank you! Now you know where to get in and out. Just be mindful of the currents as you head toward the corner. You may have none but if you feel the current pull you toward the current to any amount that makes you feel uncomfortable then reverse your direction back. The other direction (blowing north) is no problem as you can get out anywhere.

There custom white balance is a mess. I used the automatic underwater white balance this video. It is an improvement so far. Night filming will be a good test.

Any chance you need a diver-instructer?
I can pay my own way there.

Great video! What camera did you use to film it?

    • @ADiversLife

Aside from a few clips from a Canon and a GoPro8 the Sony A7s3

Hands down the Sony is the best of the cameras. It also allows me to film HDR quality video. You also need a bigger external display to see what you are filming. The Sony display is tiny. Lights also play a big factor

@@sandramaruszak9998Hi Sandra, although this is a step up in sensor size it is not a low light camera. This is better for photography. That said, if you were to get this camera look at investing in some very good lights and minimize the distance between you and the subject. Are you planning to shoot in manual mode or are you looking for something to be more automatic? Aside from shooting video what are your goals for the camera? I will use this to base my next questions. Our rig is very expensive and I can’t expect others to have the same requirements. People shoot differently.

@@ADiversLife I exclusively video--no stills. I'd like to keep the setup $2500 or less, so that eliminates some of the more advanced set ups. I'd like something more automatic. I have 2 bright video lights though I find that often they frighten the critters away, so a camera that can shoot in low light (aka almost everything underwater) is the goal. I understand the limits of shooting with/without lights and how that affects the shots--sometime I sacrifice the video to get a shy animal with the alternative no animal at all :) I used a go pro the past 15 years and recently tried the TG6. I like the go pro for larger animals, but for smaller critters, it is more limited. The TG6 had issues with it's autofocus, which pushed me in the direction of Sony. Appreciate your thoughts!
