That foot pedal actually looks like it could be really useful for multiple applications really. The fact that it has not 1, but 3 total functions to it means that you could map that to something for video editing (Play/Pause for the middle, Fast Forward for the right, and Rewind for the left). But also, I'm sure you could use that for other stuff as well. Ironically, my first thought of the RGB aspect was "Why?" But then I quickly realized that even in my own room, I do tend to keep it on the darker side, so the lights would actually be helpful if I needed something like that. I LOVE the idea!! Yea you do have to have a back plane with cutouts, but there are a TON of case mfgrs that have removeable planes, so they only have to make a new plane to adapt it to that case.... but I guess that takes a lot of work on MSI's part convincing them it's worth it.... Maybe they should try to license the Project Zero concept so more Mobo companies hop on.... (Unlike ASUS and their power slot which require a new Mobo AND compatible GPU and resale is gonna be terrible.... the connector-less idea would spread to ALL the mobo companies!) Anyway... I feel like I saw SOMEONE that had a pedal doohicky for their streaming.... but they mentioned it in passing... I think it's a GREAT idea (although I have zero use for it lol) but it couldn't be expensive at all.. like $50 MAX .... and the RGB is a pointless cost that the customer would not care for.... just a simple light to be able to find it in the dark under your desk Well it was good to see that you go out to CES! Hopefully you got some more vids coming!!! (and THANK YOU for showing us around the booth.... I'm only getting vids with a single product.. and it's usually the Claw lol)
Fun fact about pedals for non intended uses: I’ve once raided in WoW Classic (2006 era) while binding direct healing spell on the accelerator of a Logitech racer kit, and a heal over time spell on the break pedal. It was quite challenging, but it works just fine. A friend with a little more skill (and time) later did something akin but using a guitar from Guitar Hero. Good times. Cool update on the CES. Enjoy Vegas.
The foot pedal thing seems a bit more gimmicky rather than practical to me. I'm sure more people feel comfortable using their hands where they can see what they're pressing. I could be wrong because I'm not a streamer.
I love the foot pedal, it just has to be the right price. It has to come in under $50 and im sold. Honestly a couple buttons should cost half that but i know it won't be.
