Grew up in Maryland and we went to Annapolis Mall all the time. My mother loved Morrison's cafeteria so we would go out to eat there and then go to the mall. Babbages, Radio Shack and "Electric Avenue" at Montgomery Wards were my favorite stores. Benetton, and Merry Go Round were the popular clothing stores at the time. There was also a cool knife shop where I would buy Swiss Army Knives. Also, I remember when they added Nordstrom and the California Pizza Kitchen. I was one of the first employees to work at the CPK too. Can't believe it's still open after 30 years.

In high school in the 80s, one friend worked in the Great American Cookie Company. That store seemed to last fairly long, considering the high store turn over rate. Huge cookies with writing on them were featured. Another friend worked at the Chick fil A in the original food court area, and walked around outside of the store in the official CHICKEN costume. My mom didn't care for shopping, but always went to the Montgomery Ward. When QVC came along, that was the end of that! haha

This mall had a little movie theater in it. I'm sure it's closed now but in the late 90's and early 2000's I loved it. It couldn't have had more than 4 screening rooms and each theater probably held 40-50 people. It was super cozy and cute.

That theater closed around 2000 or so when a much larger theater opened at the end of the mall with a new food court.

I remember. I saw Ghostbusters there. We loved going to Boardwalk Fries, which was just across from the theater.

I worked at the old theater in the 80’s. There were 6 or so tiny rooms with small screens and terrible sound, and one larger auditorium with Dolby.
