Tissue culture plants are as good as the source material. Natural variation between plants results in distinctive 'tissue culture' traits as a function of distinctive traits of the original plant which was put through the tissue culture process. If someone dislikes the traits of the 'tissue culture version' of a plant they really just dislike the traits of the original plant used to create it. In other words, tissue culture does not distort the characteristics of the source material. You might think "then why are there all of these mutants from tissue culture?" and that's because a few bottles in a tissue culture lab can hold thousands of plants. You can keep taking plants to that "thousands in a bottle" stage then start over until you find mutants. It isn't because tissue culture chemicals are inherently mutagenic; it's a function of the likelihood of a mutation multiplied by the number of clones produced. Although there is a way to artificially create permanent chimeric variegation it's done via using extremely toxic chemicals to induce polyploidy. You could then multiply those artificially mutated plants via tissue culture but it's not a part of the tissue culture process. Similarly you can create temporary variegation with benign color-breaking viruses but again that's not a part of tissue culture.
In addition to natural variation regarding appearance there's also natural variation regarding hardiness and vigor. Hence some claims that TC plants grow slower, more quickly, etc. Ultimately, once they've adjusted to your home environment, any critique of the 'TC' version of a plant is a critique of the plant(s) which were used as the source material for the TC process.
Anyone with enough experience growing plants has noticed that some specimens have slightly different leaf shapes, growth rates, color schemes, etc than others specimens of the same cultivar. Taking an oddly shaped dull colored Pink Princess and cloning it a bunch of times via tissue culture is the same thing as taking an oddly shaped dull colored Pink Princess and cloning it a bunch of times via chop and prop. It's just way faster and takes way less space to do it via tissue culture.

Around 4:35 when she says "we sold" and then corrects herself to "I sold"😭Wow that got me! I was hesitant to even comment on that but it's just amazing how plants can bring such joy and connection even after someone is gone. I hope she continues to say"we" bc Jack is with her always especially when she's taking care of their plants. We 💚 you Christi!! Thank you for taking the time to share your collection with us! 😘

I was saddened by her recent Instagram posts about her retiring from the plant business. I can only imagine how hard it must be for her with Jack gone, and I really hope she is able to find some peace moving forward :)
