Making an Ankara print skirt for Mom!

- Hi everyone! I'm sharing my Mother's Day make and other goodies that I got for my mom this past weekend. Follow along as I make a two-tiered skirt out of Ankara print African fabric that I found...of all places...on Amazon! I had no idea that they sold African print fabric. I'll definitely be getting more! A tiered skirt is a great beginner sewing project. I didn't use a pattern but have some suggestions below. Some of these patterns are out of print but can be found on Amazon or Etsy.

Materials and notions for this project:
2 1/2 yards of 45-inch-wide fabric
3/4-inch-wide knit elastic (measured to your waist with a 1-inch overlap)
