I love hearing people who grew up in the Catholic church talk about it bc a) me too and b) hearing it being explained to someone outside the religion who’s weirded out by it makes me feel so validated
I understand Noel has his own experience growing up in what sounds like a lukewarm Novus Ordo catholic family, but the way he spoke about mass and especially the eucharist was physically painful to listen to. I can’t be the only catholic listening to this podcast. I get that their whole thing is generally being very frank and honest about their opinions for comedic effect, but I’ve seen them bite their tongue on topics before in order to be respectful. Not with this though, for some reason.
