I don't know why "Indie pixel smash clone" has become an entire genre on Steam, but it's disheartening to see so many people waste a lot of time and effort without realizing that Smash is successful 90% for the character licenses and only 10% for the gameplay.

poor matt was really getting viobladed in the first half there lmao. this game looks great tho, it seems really fast and fun, and the sprite art is super cute, i hope they add more weapon types or even just cosmetic alt weapons, like katana that works the same as sword, a scyth that works the same as the axe, and punch fists that work the same as the dagger

He eventually found himself out of breath in front of a place one would call home. A safe place filled with memories and joy. Still Doubled over trying to Catch his breath in the cool air he felt a sigh of relief. Looking Above. Liam could hear the roaring laughter of hype and video games above. Liam, shuffled around his jacket pockets and pulled out a tray of homemade softbaked cookies designed to look like the members of the zaibatsu. Liam, put the cookies back in his jacket and started slowly making his way up to the front door of the zaibatsu. Before he could touch the door, he could hear woolies hearty laughter behind the door. The door swings open Woolie:"huh?" He says puzzled. "I swear..I thought there was something out here..." Glancing around Woolie only sees and hears the soft pitter-patters of rain washing Canada,nowheres street. Pat pokes his head under woolies arm glancing left and right down the street. Pat:"everything all right, woolz?" Woolie"Yeah..just..never mind..." He says bittersweetly. Matt quickly wraps his arms around the gangs neck with a tight grip and a hearty smile gathering the gang back to the set Matt:"Have I got just the game for you scrublords! Tonight!" The door closes with a soft isolated thud. Liam hiding behind a bush holding onto his chest letting out a sigh as he brushes the excess grass and leaves off his body. He continues walking down the streets of canda, nowhere vowing to return to the zaibatsu one day. Matt, Pat and woolie watch as Liam continues walking away in the distance. Matt:"he'll be back one day and we'll be ready when he is too." he says with a grin. Woolie folds his arms and leans on the window ledge, "employee of the month every month." I'm guessing too I have absolutely NO idea what the timing is but a frame sounds about right since I think that was the timing for counter hits to work in the Souls series. However don't quote me on nothing.

I don't know why "Indie pixel smash clone" has become an entire genre on Steam, but it's disheartening to see so many people waste a lot of time and effort without realizing that Smash is successful 90% for the character licenses and only 10% for the gameplay.

poor matt was really getting viobladed in the first half there lmao.
this game looks great tho, it seems really fast and fun, and the sprite art is super cute, i hope they add more weapon types
or even just cosmetic alt weapons, like katana that works the same as sword, a scyth that works the same as the axe, and punch fists that work the same as the dagger

It was another Friday at the zaibatsu. It was a rainy, but cool summer night.
Liam was walking the streets of canada, nowhere in his pop team epic letterman jacket.
He could see a golden light peering from the office of the zaibatsu headquarters.
Following his heart, he chased after the warm beacon, his heart pounding faster with each splash erupting from every puddle.
He eventually found himself out of breath in front of a place one would call home. A safe place filled with memories and joy. Still Doubled over trying to Catch his breath in the cool air he felt a sigh of relief.
Looking Above.
Liam could hear the roaring laughter of hype and video games above.
Liam, shuffled around his jacket pockets and pulled out a tray of homemade softbaked cookies designed to look like the members of the zaibatsu.
Liam, put the cookies back in his jacket and started slowly making his way up to the front door of the zaibatsu.
Before he could touch the door, he could hear woolies hearty laughter behind the door.
The door swings open
Woolie:"huh?" He says puzzled.
"I swear..I thought there was something out here..."
Glancing around Woolie only sees and hears the soft pitter-patters of rain washing Canada,nowheres street.
Pat pokes his head under woolies arm glancing left and right down the street.
Pat:"everything all right, woolz?"
Woolie"Yeah..just..never mind..." He says bittersweetly.
Matt quickly wraps his arms around the gangs neck with a tight grip and a hearty smile gathering the gang back to the set
Matt:"Have I got just the game for you scrublords! Tonight!"
The door closes with a soft isolated thud.
Liam hiding behind a bush holding onto his chest letting out a sigh as he brushes the excess grass and leaves off his body. He continues walking down the streets of canda, nowhere vowing to return to the zaibatsu one day.
Matt, Pat and woolie watch as Liam continues walking away in the distance.
Matt:"he'll be back one day and we'll be ready when he is too." he says with a grin.
Woolie folds his arms and leans on the window ledge, "employee of the month every month."
Pat teary eyed says, "He brought the cookies..."
The camera pans over to the employee of the month wall adorned with liam every month even the current month, no matter if he was there or not and next to that wall was a special area dedicated to the return of the one and only rising superstar Liam.
"Stars will fade away, but a rising star will never burn out."
