As I mentioned before, Tamu and SAKI had been on the scene for over 10 years and both of them "got their hands" on BABYMETAL before the formation of NEMOPHILA. If you deep dive into Tamu's musical carrier history, she did her own drum cover of BABYMETAL's Give Me Chocolate. SAKI went deeper with BABYMETAL connection through Yuyoyuppe (Takehiro Mamiya, BABYMETAL's main composer) and trying to get inspiration from his works. From that point, she was drawn towards 7 strings guitar, the driving force in Yuyoyuppe's work. At that time she borrowed a prototype of Killer 7 strings guitar and started to write songs as she wanted to expand the range and to produce a sound lower than the normal 6 strings. In 2019, as SAKI celebrating her 10 years anniversary since her professional debut, Killer launch SAKI's signature guitar named KG-Fascinator Seven the Empress, the 7 strings version that is based on Luke Takamura's (of SEIKIMA-II, SAKI's fav. band) signature guitar.
Detroit rock city.. The Minions Banana song, Whole lot of Rosie.. There are so many... Sadly, in your current condition, I don't think you are going to make it.. Lol.. They are all just the cutest things on the planet.. The Drumer Tamu is the happiest drummer I have ever seen, and so so tallented, she is also a mother of two. Mayu too is a mom had her child end of last year.. Do their song Monsters live... If you dare!! Best wishes from France
Thanks Grant!!! I'll check those out, but let's come back down from the cloud for a while and ease into it. Those ladies are not only badass rockers, but badass moms. Man, what an amazing world.
@@the_talking_muffin Yes they are.. And you have so many more to see... Wait till you see Aldious, Gacharic spin, Hagane and Trident .. We are very lucky to be alive right now and witness all of these beautiful classy ladies and all of this phenominal music they are playing.. Looking forward to more from you, especially the big three please.. Nemophila, lovebites and Band maid
LIFE really hits you in the heart. love that song. they are amazing. especially if you go in understanding that song was being sung to the drummer Tamu after a break for her to have her baby and they had not been together in a while, fantastic video.
@@the_talking_muffin I like their original songs but I kinda prefer their covers. Mayu does more singing. The Linkin Park cover is really funny. They don't have a tambourine so they shake their car keys into the mics.
@@the_talking_muffin When they perform covers they often dress or make up in ways that reference the original artist. Other times they add little touches that nod to the original artist's music videos or well-known mannerisms. In their cover video for a Journey song they reproduce little details from the original. In their video of Show-Ya's 'Fairy', Saki reproduces the trademark hand movement that Keiko-san and Sun-Go-san do during the "I can't see" line when Show-Ya perform it. When they cover Maximum the Hormone, Hara-chan does that band's crossed-arms metal horns salute. There are many others. It's fine to spot the little touches.
I wish I could, but I'm not in a position to do so at the moment. I've seen plenty of people are going to the Dallas shows. I think there are 2. I'm betting it's going to be a hell of a time.
Nice reaction. Nemophilas cover of Megitsune is pretty much the only cover of it I can listen to. And that's mostly due to Mayu bringing her own twist into the vocals instead of just copying Su (which is good since Su really can't be copied). And yeah I think pretty much everyone except for Mayu was wearing some kind of Babymetal merch on this video.
Yeah, I never have heard another cover to this song. I really wouldn't feel right listening to another cover, but I knew these girls were gonna kill it and do it justice and sure enough, they brought it.
Agreed. I prefer the original as well. As far as covers go though I also agree that if anyone is going to cover this song then who else but Nemophila. Thanks for the comment!
if you want something fun and different, a nice changeup is their cover of the minions Banana song.;.....do it, you won't regret it, it'll be something you come back to from time to time for a quick pick me up positive mood swing. gotta love this band, they gelled together with covers and their originals are pure fire. such an amazing band.
It's time for you to watch their song 'Life'. The video they have poseted on the official channel for it is very special to the fans. It's from a show where Tamu (on drums) had just come back from maternity leave and the rest of the band clearly missed her a whole lot. Before the song, the band all turned towards Tamu and told her how happy they were to have her back, and they dedicated the next song to her and her new baby. It's really beautiful. Be sure to flip on the lyrics for it and pack some tissues.
From what I've read about it so far.............I'm nervous. I'm moved to tears quite easily so I'll struggle with getting to this one for a sec. Thanks for the suggestion!!!
I’ll just mention how fun it has become for me look for all the Easter eggs in their cover videos. As others have mentioned, Saki is a huge Babymetal fan and (supposedly) all the merchandise like towels, Fox masks, some T-shirts are from Saki’s personal collection. The hair styles are a great touch in this video too. A lot of covers out there so look for the eggs. ❤️🌸
So Mayu and Su are probably my two favorite singers right now. I love Mayu and what she does, but I can't help feeling like this cover really shows how deceptively brilliant Su is. It seems kind of simple and plain, but effective when you hear her. When I heard this cover though, sung by probably my favorite singer, all I could think about was how fantastic Su is. I know it's highly unlikely to ever happen, but I would love to hear the reverse. I wonder how Su would sing "Life." Maybe it would just show how brilliant Mayu is, but it would be very interesting.
I've yet to hear "Life". I've been told that it is a very powerful and emotional song. i was told it was written with the drummer in mind. I've been putting off a reaction to it because it sounds like it's going to be a tear-jerker. I'm not ready to cry on camera and I know that I will because I'm a big softee. I'm looking forward to the song, but probably need to be prepared more mentally to tackle it. Thanks for the comment. That will be something fun to think about when I hear Mayu and imagine Su-Metal singing her part.
In March they have concerts in the USA: 07 Roseville, 08 San Francisco, 09 Los Angeles, 12 San Diego, 14 Houston, 16-17 Austin, 19 Dallas, 20 New York. If you want to get to know mayu's voice better, listen to their older covers (Show-Ya and Princes Princes). I also recommend a live cover: X JAPAN / Rusty Nail [Cover by NEMOPHILA] ruclips.net/video/rihI0YI7EK0/видео.html I especially recommend Ado's cover: ado / うっせぇわ [Cover by NEMOPHILA(Vo.mayu&Dr.むらたたむ)] ruclips.net/video/qMtS1gJ6-jI/видео.html Probably the most expressive vocal of mayu, in any recording he doesn't sing like this. Hazyki plays Ibanez (in older recordings she played ESP), Saki plays Killer, Haraguchi-san plays Sadowsky (formerly usually Bacchus). Hazuki and Saki play different models, mostly 7 strings.
Thank you so much for sharing all of that info for everyone to see. I've seen so many people commenting on going to the Dallas shows. I imagine that is going to be an absolute blast!
If I'm not mistaken, one of the guitar tracks is missing in the audio, I think it's hazuki's guitar because I can't hear her🤔 Anyway please check out《adabana》next!🤘🏻🌸🤘🏻
Mayu screams like Su wishes Amuse would allow her too. 😜 Aldious. Aldious are the OGs in this genre. They are still around and they are best served live. They won’t get you loads of views but it’s part of the education process.
8:26 , skipped most kawai moment of Haraguchi-San 😕 Anyway, suscribed and liked. (Mayu, just like Sumetal have pony tail and other ladyes have pig tails like Yuimetal/Moametal/Momometal).
This is the only cover of Megitsune I really like because Nemophila made it their own instead of imitating it straight (and failing to out-Su Su-Metal). They changed things up to take advantage of Mayu's own unique voice and style. I think it was Mayu who chose the song, but she knows Saki is a huge Babymetal fan. To my knowledge, all the Babymetal merch in that studio was hers. 🤘🦊🤘
Baby Metal are nothing more than singers & dancers using a touring band. Rock/Metal bands play there own instruments (sum badly) and not manufactured! Its surprising Nemophila like Baby Metal (i know about Saki) to record a cover. They are way more talented than this overhyped heavily marketed theatre show.
Manufactured or not Babymetal has great artistry spirit in it, they do something silly lunatic others can't and they success with their dedication in it. Like your band as you want, don't compare them since as you said, Babymetal is a show, with a lot of talented people, from stage, costume designs to song writers, musicians, singers, dancers. How could a band of few people more talented than a whole show which crafted by all talented people?. They're master performers with their insane production.
The BABYMETAL merch is a nice touch!!!

NEMOPHILA just never misses. SAKI living her best life right here. 🌸✨🌠
Seriously, in some of these cover videos Saki just has so much fun. 'Diamonds' and 'Fairy' especially.

@@the_talking_muffin Yeah, the performance of 'Life' in the official video is a pretty (very) emotional experience.
I hear BabyMetal play a solid cover of this song 😁
I love the way they did the BABYMETAL hair thing: Mayu in pony tail like Su and the other girls with the Moa-style twin tails.
I didn't even notice that. Of course I'm still not familiar with how the ladies dress and style themselves during their performances yet.
