@@VicGreenBitcoin FM will perform exactly as the AM carrier does. No shipping across the pond unless you use Ebay's international shipping program. 110v or 12v
One thing they missed is ability to go on the zeros, the clarifier won’t go that far either but there are some techs trying to come up with a fix but nice radio.
Any of the Astatic 4 pin mics will. Just my personal opinion I've had one of those mics about 12 BC years back and I can always tell if someone is using one because whenever you pronounce the letter S it sounds scratchy and splattered even you're not over modulating the output on your radio. Just my $.02 sir...
Ham Rigs talk like shit on AM compared to an AM designed radio and don't debate it with me. I own an icom 7700 that was around $7000 new and a cobra 2000 will out talk it on AM
ya its advertised as an amateur radio but its not! its a cb radio. no vfo/ channelized/ overpriced/ plastic junk . buy a ft-891 for $699 much more radio for the money!
The 891 is a great radio and can be got cheaper, it's fans do get noisy though especially on FM @100w. It's a great portable radio and I've used it a lot on Ham and CB but wanted something nicer to use for the shack, easier to change bands and modes etc so I got the new President Washington, looks great lit up at night and it is nicer to use but it gets wicket hot and it's 2 fans scream. The 891 has TX Equaliser and 2 mic EQ settings which is pretty cool and it has an amazing way to use a tuner, I use the MFJ-939Y with it and once you set the tuner in the menu all you do is press PTT and up on mic and it automatically sends a carrier and the tuner tunes, have to set 5 watts out on AM though but it's a great radio sure and it will output full 100w on FM/SSB and 25w on AM. I use FM a lot but it does make the fans scream. There are better Ham base radios to use though but most will be old that one might use on 11m and many will be drifting and sound bad on air and many will need to be realigned or other work, few will sound as good as a modern radio.
CTCSS? Repeater Shift? SSB Stability? VFO, and a power supply that has enough overhead to work in SSB mode??? It isn't even close to "EVERYTHING I NEED and asked 4", in a radio costing that much in 2024...
I got the President Washington , lovely little radio but gets very hot even with the fans but a larger fan pointed towards the rear of the radio helps a lot. Sounds good on air too.

I’ll need to purchase a few of those before long
You know it!
I am new at this, how do I know I am ONLY on 11 meter CB radio? not a licensed ham operator yet..
Look up the 40 cb channel frequencies.
Sweet little base
What’s the front face measurements ? Thanks
Why white led? It's so harsh compared to red.
What is that meter connected to your radio
