  • This segment is all about the specific heat (aka specific heat capacity) concept. We first define the specific heat at constant volume(Cv) and specific heat at constant pressure (Cp) and discuss the relationship between specific heat, internal energy, and enthalpy. We then discuss the specific heats of ideal gases, including the Cv and Cp relationship for ideal gases, and define the specific heat ratio. We then cover the specific heats of liquids and solids.
