If you are going to take the parameters and use them with another version of supertrend, let’s say the pivots one, then yeah. But if you set alerts directly from the optimizer one then no need to check ever again since it changes by itself. Unfortunately then you need to edit their code since I don’t think the optimizer offered proper alerts. I showed the changes to do it once in a live stream and maybe in one of my older articles too
@@TheTradingParrot That makes sense, thanks for taking the time to reply. Im guessing setting up alerts directly on that indicator but cause the alert to take slightly longer to fire, as i noticed it sometimes takes 2 seconds to calculate x

you are not calculating commission in strategy tester thats y the strategy is in profit ,and position must be calculated after candle close
