    I have PTSD and hyper mobility. Watched this just for my hyper mobility symptoms but I found I started crying each time I felt myself relax my pelvic floor because trauma brain does NOT like feeling vulnerable. The body really does keep the score, I took lots of breaks doing these exercises but it was still incredibly hard. Though, I think this is the first time in months my lower back feels relaxed and not sore.

      Thank you for sharing. Yes Movement & breathwork can release enormous amounts of stuck tension. I’m glad you found some relief from your back pain 🙏🏻

    Excellent! It really helps when professionals take the time to explain the why of things instead of telling you what to do.

    This is an incredible class and info. I've watched it a lot of times over the past few months. At first, I played the breathwork part on repeat because the rest didn't make so much sense to me at that point. But the more I practised this, the more I understood everything and it all came together. Thank you so much, @Jeannie for sharing this with us. ❤

    I found this video extremely helpful in both learning how to visualize & begin to feel the pelvic muscles. I also appreciate you sharing that for some individuals the pelvic muscles may be too tight. Weak, tight ,or a combination of both, all are important distinctions treatment wise. Thank you for your hEDS education & exercises. Your videos are important complements to my fairly standardized physical therapy sessions with PT & OT professionals.

Would you please talk about it and solution about it. You are so thorough and love the way you explain things. Or any recommendations on your previous videos since I am new here. Thanks you so much. I'm a zebra club member and loving it... I'm so reassured hearing you say you had a hypertonic pelvic floor! I have been referred to a pelvic floor PT for biofeedback but can't get in for months. This issue has been the cause of my life long constipation, says my gastro doctor. Do you or could you recommend a class to support me during my wait???

    Just diagnosed with hypertonic pelvic floor, affecting rectum, painful pelvis, vagina etc taken years and years to get this diagnosis and it all makes sense now. I am relieved to find your EDS video explaining breathing, pain relief and solutions to improve this condition. The Gynaecologist mentioned I was not carrying out a high enough pelvic floor lift, is this something that will improve whilst practicing this particular programme you have kindly created?

    • @GillianTaylorShaw
      @GillianTaylorShaw 2 месяца назад

      Thanks. The Gynaecologist is referring me to specific Physio, he advised that just a routine physio who helps patients with pelvic floor exercises was not good enough as I need to be taught how to relax my pelvic floor first and only a few within the department have that kind of knowledge and training. No idea when that is likely to happen so feel in the meantime I need to start to learn how to breath and try and relax. Your video has given me a great start and provided me with more information. I was completely unaware of this condition and yet complaining about so many pelvic related issues. It was only when I received the results from a pelvis MRI to confirm I have a left inguinal hernia, right one was repaired 2018. During this MRI I was asked to bear down, which I did to my fullest capacity because that is what I thought they wanted me to do. The radiologist confirmed the hernia but also made a note of significant pelvic floor descent on straining. My surgeon never mentioned it on his clinic letter. When I asked him about it he was I feel a little taken aback, I already had a copy of my MRI and the CD as well. I advised him that I had spoken with my GP who immediately sent a referral to Gynaecology, she understood the relationship between pelvic floor and EDS which I am thankful for. The surgeon then decided to write to the Gynaecologist and miraculous 14 weeks later I am called to the professor of Gynaecology... He was not impressed by the Radiology department not providing guidance and for not recognising from my health records that I have EDS as well as hiatus hernia also. He said he was going to write to the department, whether this happens or not at least I kind of know where I am up to and kind of know what might happen next.

    Doctor, when I jumped down some stairs and landed on one foot, I felt a shift in my hips but no pain. The next day, I felt severe pain in both hips and my hips do not stay in place any more. I have to constantly do the shotgun method to pop them into place. It has been 3 years and I still have lots of pain. Is this because I’m hypermobile or is it because I got injured and there might another solution other than proprioception training?
    My imaging showed some impingement and that was it. Your exercises have been making me feel better. I will go to PT for pelvic floor relaxation training soon because now I have testicular pain caused by those muscles.
    I received your book in the mail and I’m looking forward to reading it. Thank you for all the content you put out.

    Hi Jeannie. Thanks for another wonderful and much needed class. I have hypermobility in my right foot and after many years of long distance driving the foot is slightly twisted so my right toe pad won’t connect to the floor. I think my right pelvis has rotated outward because of my foot and causes pain. I’m hoping that this video along with your foot exercise videos will help me to rectify this problem. Thank again.

    Dear Jeannie,
    I am so happy I found this video. I have been having debilitating symptoms for 4 years now and nobody has helped me with it. I had a spine surgery because my pain was thought to be associated with a cyst! But I had 0% improvement. I was told that I had a hypertonic pelvic floor but I was not sure why I do, and I believe now that it is a problem of hypermobility. I don't know how to proceed with this and I wish to see you. I am 28 from Saudi Arabia and now have hip pain too!! I really really wish I can see yoi because it seems you have experienced a lot of what I am going through. Is it possible to have an e-appointment or an appointment at your clinic?

    Very great video. Have been doing these exercises at night they really help to relieve lower body tension before I sleep. Where do kegels fit into helping hypermobile community especially those post partum or with prolapse?

    • @JeannieDiBonHypermobility
      @JeannieDiBonHypermobility  Год назад +2

      Great to hear they are helping. Prolapses or post partum is a different thing. Sometimes kegals are a necessary exercise for a specific medical issue. I’m talking about squeezing that area during an exercise class and holding it in thereby increasing abdominal pressure.

    I have snapping hip and considering hip anthroscopy with iliopsoas release but all of this has me concerned. My Chiroprator states that it’s because of my hyper mobile pelvis and that it needs to balance. My PT has me doing muscle and core strengthening and I will e going on my 2nd othro surgeon opinion. It’s incredibly painful at the groin and my hip hurts when I take a step. Has anyone here had this procedure done? If so, what has been your experience? BTW, thank you for the vid, I will try the exercise.

    Great video! Would some of these moves (the ones on your back) would be OK to do on a mattress instead of on the floor/a mat? I can’t really easily access the floor, however a mattress might not give enough support for the windshield wiper et cetera? because my lower back and buttocks started to flare up after doing them on the bed😢
