    Which geyser switches do you use? I used contactors in conjunction with Sonoff Basic's, but those can't measure the power, it only measures the power the actual contactor consumes.

      Hi, I use a mix of Sonoff Pow 16A's & a Chinese 63A Breaker which also runs on Ewelink on my geysers/borehole etc. www.takealot.com/geyser-smart-wi-fi-switch-energy-monitor/PLID93647687

    What brand of alarm system do you have, that integrates nicely with home assistant?

    Thanks for another awesome video, I have been using HA for a number of years now and can not live without HA. Looking forward to more videos on Sunsync videos. Thanks

    Hi - I noticed on one of the dash panels you show the loadshedding schedule - how do you pull that information in?

      Hi Lood, I will be doing a video on adding the load shedding panel soon, I would have done it earlier but was having problems with the access to their server for some reason.

    sorry noob to home assistant how did you make home Assistant turn pool pump on and off depending on how much sunshine you got very interested in this . thanks for the videos so far

      Hi Simon, thank you for the question, I am planning to do a video showing how that works in the next week or so. I have three other video's that I want to get out first, firstly one on installing the Eskomsepush integration foir the load shedding schedules, then the one for solar forecasting and finally the smart switches, once I have them done. I will bring them altogether and show the automation to switch the pool on when there is sun forecast for example. Stay tuned and make sure you are subscribed, will be fun :-)

    Sorry if this is a unintelligent question , does home assistant need to be installed on a spare pc or laptop , can it perhaps be installed and run on a mobile phone and would it have the same functionality? Thanks

      Hi Alpesh, won't run on a phone unfortunately. Digiblur does a pretty good video on selecting a suitable platform to install it on ruclips.net/video/rch6jcMfwEs/видео.html

    Hey, great videos. Thanks for sharing!
    Is it possible to setup automations on your inverter using only home assistant and the solarman logger? Or would you need to get a dedicated solar assistant installed ?

    • @SolarIntegrations
      @SolarIntegrations  Год назад

      Hi Xavier, The Automations get run in Home Assistant, not in the inverter. You pull all the data you need from the inverter using the Solarman integration into Home Assistant. I am not aware of any scenario's that would require Solar Assistant to do something that you can't do in Home Assistant.

      Thanks for the reply. So it's possible to let's say run an automation to change your time of use settings on the inverter if the solar forecast is sunny as an example?

    • @SolarIntegrations
      @SolarIntegrations  Год назад +1

      @@xavsod Hi Xavier, 100% correct, I am planning a video at the moment on how to set up your Dashboard so you can manually change the settings and then an automation to automatically change the settings when an overcast day is forecast to increase the minimum amount of power kept in the batteries.

    Thanks Which device you using for your geyser etc to monitor power ? Thanks

    • @SolarIntegrations

      Hi Vaughan, I am using primarily Sonoff smart switches which include energy monitoring. I do however also have some Tuya switches running as well.

      @SolarIntegrations Which Sonoff switch you using for geyser .
      Also, have you flashed your Tuya device with Tasmota or Esphome etc ?
      Thanks

      @SolarIntegrations  Год назад +1

      @@vaughanza I use the Sonoff POWR320D for my geysers, along with some Smtonoff 63a switches as well, Sonoff's & Tuya all running standard firmware, seems like a lot of effort to change them and don't really have any reason to do so. I use the SonoffLAN & Localtuya integrations to keep it all local.

      I can recommend the Geyserwise with the geyserwala board. I replaced my 3kw element with 1kw and my Sunsynk 8kva happy with that and the pool pump on the sonoff powr320D switch with everything else with no problems
