Dave thank you for sharing your experience with a bad buy. I think you are not alone, I see a lot of other sellers showing deals they make and pickups at garage sales etc that they don't look up at all. I think that those resellers probably aren't as willing to share their mistakes as you are. This is what makes your channel unique and refreshing.
Praying you and your family are safe during the hurricane. And yes, please go back to three videos a week! I love you and your content and I have been missing those three videos a week to be honest.
Dave Dave Dave …you are my FAVOURITE picker/flipper to watch even though you frustrate me to tears! I think your brain works too quickly and it is on full charge all the time. You have to slow down…don’t just look at an item but take the time to check it properly for brakes etc then DON’T just chuck it in your wagon..place it in there and if possible wrap something around breakables. Now if you want to see how to do it properly, watch a couple of Florida Pickers videos. Stacey checks condition to the nth degree. Having said all this I still love your channels the best. Best wishes to you and your family. We get all your weather news here down under and hope you are all safe and well. xx
i just bought 2 wizard of oz items from you , ill probably buy more i collect them , so hard to find around here , but i started searching for your store cause you always find cool goodies , and sure enough last night i was like oh he has the wizard of oz stuff i wanted that i lost at an auction couple weeks ago , so happy , just know your freaking cool and have good taste , thank you so very much for what you do
I think the rotary version of that phone is a little more. I decided I'm 99% done with shoes too. I have a pair I've sold no less than 10 times, either they cancel or don't pay. I have 3 big boxes of just shoes. I threw 47 pair on auction, trashed one pair, and if they don't sell they are going to the flea market, then Commons.
That’s one reason I stink at garage sale buying. It’s hard for me to examine stuff as closely as I need to with the owners hovering and people milling around. I just get distracted too easily. I think the only time I’ve gotten a good buy at a garage sale is by accident. 😂
Toner is dry. It's not wet like inkjet ink. It's powder (fluffy powder that gets baked onto the paper so it can't dry out any more than it is really). Oh, and I like your intro, "Hey, it's Dave here, back in the garage".... :)
Toner doesn't dry out the same way ink does- it's actually like a powder? You can actually refill toner cartridges if you know what you're doing (or just watch youtube tutorials). Also, keep fighting that feedback. Ebay Open was yesterday and they made a whole big deal during their keynotes about taking care of unfair feedback for sellers. Make them put their money where their mouth is.
I have power tonight for the first time since Friday morning and for several days I had no cell service and that screwed up a few orders but for the most part I have kept shipping through the entire disaster. I had to use that automated system the other day and I started feeding it random words and it said do you need to talk to a person. I don’t know if that would work twice but it did then.
Toner is powder based, not liquid based, so it doesn’t dry out like ink does. As far as sitting in a 100+ degree shipping container for an extended amount of time, that might be dicey
Dave, I like your uploads, am subscribed to your channels, and also always "Like" each one I watch. However, I have to agree with your criticisms of yourself (losing items, not taking enough care in sourcing etc) and I have to say it's painful to watch you kind of bumble along. If it was just one thing you needed to work on, it would be one thing. But your list is getting kinda long there friend! I wouldn't have commented here, but I really DO like you and want you to succeed. Just help me out here!
regarding the patterns, I believe that when you list a bunch of items in a category that's new to your store, those items have no real momentum from the rest of your store. The fact that you're not getting any sales is discouraging however, you just learned some things that can be applied to future buys and listings. I'm of the opinion based solely on watching other resellers who fool with patterns a lot that you need to list them individually, and you do not want to buy patterns that have already been cut, You only want to buy patterns that are still factory folded and have all the instructions. think of them like postcards or other paper ephemera. they're going to be small sales and they are not going to fly off the shelves That's a long-term long tail buy. it's not a quick flip selling in lots kind of item.
On the chat Type live agent and you will get a prompt for a live call back Repeat it over and over til it works I always do this live agent better then robot that aren’t smart
Neg feedback doesn't get removed after a return if completed. I even called to request removal - was told no by eBay. So best I could do was add a comment to the feedback-
Take your phone and look up comps. All the resellers do that. Youll save yourself a lot of wasted money. You should be more confident and your sales should improve.
Hi Dave ebay did refused to remove one feedback I received from a buyer in France even though the item never shipped and the buyer did receive full refund
Keep spamming “chat” or “call me” over and over when in the chat with automated assistant. You’ll get the options quickly. But now eBay will do an update I bet making it harder.
Wow you’re so lucky I lost hundreds of dollars from customers switching out their bad look a like item for my brand new item. But even if eBay give them the refund Not only did I lose my item because customers never send back my item but I lose the money so I lost double the money the item and a refund to a Thief that knows how to get around and fake eBay out. Even after I send all the pictures showing my proof and the theif send there pictures and doesn’t even match at all For example my last rio off stolen item I sent a brand new Apple Magic Keyboard I got it for free luckily And sold it for $25 online my was white The customer complained about the Q button being broken And his picture shows a tan keyboard and the Q button was broken Where my picture shows a White keyboard and the Q button in perfect condition No I don’t know who looks at the picture on eBay but clearly they are just blind or too lazy to look and just sent the case through giving the customer a free keyboard and refund the money too
Are you set up for free returns? I've never had eBay offer a refund without the item being returned. Also try appealing the refund if the item doesn't match in pictures-
@@joytoyouandme4593 I just found out about the free return in my eBay store last week lol been selling since 2009 and watching videos to learn anything new I didn’t even know about the free returns and I just found out every 3 months I get $25 off the eBay supplies store Anyway all thoses case where I was ripped off been over a year I lost a total of $4500 from being ripped off and eBay giving them the money. I just do more pictures now
I appreciate the “hey it’s Dave, back in the garage” it’s your line! 😊
it's funny: I get impatient waiting for you to resolve your issues, yet I won't leave the episode! You are mesmerizing!
Hope you have come through the hurricane safe and sound stay safe God bless 😢😢

Glad you're safe, we took a direct hit at 115 mph, the eye went right over us.

Happy to hear eBay finally did something right and refunded you for the swapped item!
Dave, you are my "spirit reseller"
Thought of you and I heard about the hurricane your way. Praying all is well with you and yours.
Yep been there done that missing cracks or broken parts on glass stuff , you will look more careful from now on live and learn

Geez, I'm glad you got some money back but ebay makes it soooo hard!
I usually just type Human in chat box lol and I get one
This has happened to all of us, love your videos
First 30 seconds = daves shower thoughts 😂

Dave are you and your family okay. I am worried about you all. Please let us know asap. Your parents too.
When you go to the chatbot, you can just put in "talk to a person" and it'll give you the call option for them to call you.
I also like the intro Hi I’m back in the garage and all the rest of your video. I also have message anxiety
I buy a lot of online auction items & I get broken items way too often. They’re very good at hiding the flaws in the pictures
I recommend the movie The Descent. In the same vein as stranded in the ocean but in a cave. It’s very good!
Hope you and your family, mama picker and Yeye (sorry, I know that's spelled wrong) are ok after Helene. Please let us know at your earliest. ❤
I just realized I wasn't subscribed to this channel... oops! Fixed it. Now, I'm subscribed!!😊

In the chat box just type that you need a call back rather than a question about your issue and it usually works.
Toner should be 100% fine as it's a dry powder.
Glad you got your money back! Wish you would have discussed the negative feedback with the agent while you had her on the phone; darn!

Some people bye broken things of all kinds for their art projects.
I just keep writing “call me please “and then the call back confirmation comes up

E-Bay should remove your negative feedback because you fully refunded the customer -try again based on refund -
They won't. They are going the way of Blockbuster Video.
Do a whatnot show from your container.
Do you not offer free 30 day returns? For some reason I'm thinking neg feedback should automatically be removed after the return.
Neg feedback doesn't get removed after a return if completed. I even called to request removal - was told no by eBay. So best I could do was add a comment to the feedback-
I would call and talk to a human with common sense
I bought a 14k white gold, 26" 8mm omega chain marked Italy. If real, it would have been worth about $1200 in scrap. Of course, it was a fake.
That toner is dead. Let us know how that sale worked out
hope you and yours are ok
Take your phone and look up comps. All the resellers do that. Youll save yourself a lot of wasted money. You should be more confident and your sales should improve.
Hope you made it thru the hurricane ok
Time for you to get over the vacation. By the time you get over it you will be on your next vacay. Move on.
ebay is now SUPER stingy when it comes to removing negative feedback. don't waste your time Dave.
Hey Oh!!!
They don't even respond to my requests to remove feedback smh
Hope you made it through the hurricane
That phone is perfect for facebook local marketplace. Just saying. I sell about 50/50 EBay and fb local at this point.
Hi Dave ebay did refused to remove one feedback I received from a buyer in France even though the item never shipped and the buyer did receive full refund
I'd say it's part of your ADHD, but we're used to it to the point we don't notice it anymore. mx
Keep spamming “chat” or “call me” over and over when in the chat with automated assistant. You’ll get the options quickly. But now eBay will do an update I bet making it harder.
Dave if he is a small reseller it matters alot as ebay can block account we don't all sell as much AS YOU UYBBES DO
Wow you’re so lucky
