- In this video you can see how i activate the headlight off timer function on my Mazda 6 of 2013. This option was available on mazda cars from +- 2013 till 2016, when they introduced the new models.

@@elmardegroot3875 well I was on my way to work, I'll check this weekend or as soon as I have a 30 min to spare 😅, I have a 2016 Sport so it is stripped from many features and the only way is to add them via something as robust as Forscan, the dealer here is not doing it for free and the shops charge too much for such a 3 min job. I donno why it took me soo long to buy an ELM327

@@elmardegroot3875 unfortunately I got a message stating that Forscan is not recognizing my car, 😥 the Bluetooth dongle is the cause, it is a 2016
@@F1h0 buy a ELM 327 USB cable, no problems so far. With 2016 models the find my car feature is also possible.
can i use this to change language for the instrumental cluster on a CX5?
Really cool! Does it need MS switch to enable Hex coding to show up on Forscan?
You need the MS/HS to see all codes.
Cool, how did you work out which binary value changes what functions? The excel sheet has all the logic of encoding/decoding they have must of been a lot of work done figure that out

Read thé codes in your Mazda 2, copy that to thé excelsheet and deselect then thé I-STOP function. I dont have a video or codes for Mazda 2. All cars are different.

There are two options for the OBD tool in your link there is a forescan v1.5a tool and a forescan v1.5b tool.
The price difference is negligible between the two but not sure which on I need

Werkt het ook als je de as built niet gebruikt? Bij ford begreep ik dat als je de normale configuratie en programming aanpast dit ook werkt qua opties zonder as built te hoeven aanpassen. Omdat dat daar de opties al weergegeven worden.
Als je de aanpassing hebt gedaan en ze zijn zichtbaar in het scherm hoef je niet per se de as built aan te passen. Dit kan immers dan later in het menu van de auto zelf.
@@elmardegroot3875 ik snap het. Alleen zie je vaak veel handleidingen of informatie bij mazda wat nog naar asbuilt refereert. Terwijl vaak in normale configuratie deze opties al staan. Bij ford is het zo dat je geen asbuilt hoeft aan de passen in de meeste gevallen.

I don't understand what you mean? A Mazda 6 of 2013 has only Led drl in front? What do you mean with hyper flash?

@@antoniolepore4049 The standard mazda 6 from 2013 has only mirror led turn signals. Forward and aft oem light bulbs. Due to the difference in resistance between led and light bulbs you get the hyper flash. The led turn signals in the excel spreadsheet are most likely for cars from +- 2016 and younger. What you need to check is the wattage and Ohm of the orginal bulb. This should be the same for the LED light. The links bellow should give you same information.

Maybe, but it works with a different menu in forscan. Never worked in fords, so i cant help you.

I don't no, never test it on cars off 2021 and older.
Hi mate! I activated this function and it showed up in the menu, I set the Headlights off timer to 30s, but it doesn't work - the lights turn of imediately when I turn off the car.
Do you (or anybode) have any idea why this doesn't work for me (Mazda 6 2021)?

Did you set the light switch on auto? Im not that familiair with the newer versions yet, but ill try to find out. Let me know if the setting of ur light switch change anything.
Did you see in the menu only the option head lights off timer? Because its a newer car you should see coming home/leaving home.

1. Yes, the light switch is set to Auto. But I also tried in all other positions and nothing.
2. I see also the coming home/leaving home and it works. At first, there was only coming home/leaving home option, but after the activation in the Forscan, now I have also the HL off timer option - which doesn't work.
@@bikloner1 you should only work then with the coming/leaving home functions. The head light off timer is the same as the coming home function. So delete the head light off timer settings that you Made with forscan and go back to the orginal file.

Where can i get excel file for Mazda6 , 2011 ?
The excel sheets are not car specific. Everybody use the same file that you find on the internet. Some features where find by trail and error or changing the as built settings.
Hello. I will try for my first time to connect ELM327 to my car because i would like to activate coming home and maybe later leaving home too. Do i need to put in this excel file some numbers from my car in collumn A? Or not and just do what you done in this video? My car is Mazda 3, 2014 year (without OEM C/L home). Thank you.
@@danijelivezic1485 The most safe way is to make a printscreen, or safe the original files from forescan. You always have a back up to rewrite the original codes. Then you can enter the codes that you like to chance in the excel sheet and start changing options in the excel sheet. When finished copy the code from the second line and put them in for scan. Be carefull with every step and be sure that you have the original codes incase of an error.

@@R1KOSS @moonkse If you have the timer working and visible in the car menu, leaving home should work!? What year is your Mazda? In Europe the coming home function is only possible on the 2.5 GTM line, as far as i know. I've been trying to activated the coming home function on my 6, but no success. With the current module its not possible.
@@R1KOSS You can try: 07 B7 01 03 00 38 92 10 9C and 07 B7 02 01 00 58 10 A0 50 19 in the RBCM. This line has activated coming and leaving home.
Hello. Thank you for this video. You activated Coming home function and ita great! :) can you activate Leaving home in the same way? In excel and in the meni of forescan? Leaving home mean that when you unlock your car with key - all lights go ON, so if the dark outside you can see way to your car.
