    My wife and I got married in 1998 and I was in charge of the music. Yes, I was the groom AND the music director. She really wanted this song. But though I can play by ear, this song baffled me. We ended up settling for another. Well, now we will have to get married again because I can play it now. Thanks for translating Stevie Wonder’s 4th dimension for me. I bow to his (and your) amazing talent.

      @@karlismusik I’ve been a fan of Stevie from the early days. Seen him live at least 5 times. Wish I could play piano like you my friend. You have a gift. ❤️👍

    I play by ear, and I’ve always wanted to learn this song, but even for me, it’s very difficult. This tutorial isn’t exactly right; there are some subtleties that he is missing, but it’s close. At least I have a good foundation to start with. Stevie has a lot of add nines on this song, very jazz influenced, as well as the standard major and minor sevenths. Thank you for a great tutorial, and I’m going to dive in and figure it out!!

    Could you do "Shhh / Peaceful" by Miles Davis. I know its jazz fusion but it has a lot of soul & blues influences and if you could go over the basic chords and structure of the song it would help a lot of jam sessions out

    Stevie loves that F# over the B. He does that in “Mistra Know It All” as well. Is. It possible to change the color of the prompter to red when the keys are pressed?

      That's what I said because it makes it harder to see, but he's not going to budge he's going to keep it the way that he wants it but it does make it harder to see meaning longer to learn a song.

  • @diegomoralessepulved
    @diegomoralessepulved 3 года назад +1

    Man this is grea!!!.. I love the channel... But a lot of the chords in this song that you say are Maj7, are instead Dominant 7.. Like in 12:10, you say F#maj7(+9), but you are playing an E in the right hand as the VII of the chord

    • @karlismusik
      @karlismusik  3 года назад +1

      You are totally right. I have been getting it from everybody. I always related it to the minor 7 chords where the 7th is in a different spot. But I got it now!
