- Snowflakes pendant - jewelry set for Christmas from copper wire
You can do less details, combined with stone or not. Your creativity will create different pattern with your own style
With snowflakes you can do the same with rings, bracelet, earring or decorations for the upcoming Christmas.
With this form you can use any type of wire or wire size you have. Smaller diameter wires are easier to handle, but they are less durable than larger wires.
In the video I use :
24 gauge ( wire diameter 0.5mm ) : 75cm( 30 inch)
12 crystals of 4mm diameter
TIPS :
- Before doing, Always be sure to straighten the wire for a more beautiful product
- Can use a towel to straighten the wire.
- Refer to how to straighten the wire here • Basic guide - straight...
- Can be replaced with silver wire or gold wire for jewelry more valuable
Or simply use cheap material like copper wire to make gifts for friends, family or for yourself
- I just give way reference, not the best way. Can change size wire to suit your purpose. You can do better than me.
- I bought all the material and stones in where I live (Vietnam)
I used to round copper wire - magnet wire , it's the only kind I found where I lived for many sizes. I do not know exactly what type it was, can be normal copper wire, it have plating layer, and not dark by time

As I sit here watching this I am in awe of how creative you are and come up with the ideas to split the wires apart to make the branches of the snowflake and then twist them to get the look you want. How on earth do you come up with such amazing creativity. I say that because I have watched so many of your other videos and I admire your work. I'm really going to try these because I love them so much, but I doubt I will get it right. also used a 0.4 mm wire since 0.6 mm was too thick for this.

Hello; I am an artist and I want to know that I love this so much and your channel. I am 41, and I used to knit for hundreds of hours, draw and paint...and make jewelry-both soldering and wirework, wirework being what I have done for the past 6-7 years bc of It’s ease of materials and versatility. Anyway I don’t know how old you are but I am very concerned about your hands. If only I can tell that you use them, and hope that you are doing daily stretching and strengthing excercises to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. The muscles of the hand and forearm become overdeveloped and shortened and cause a pinching of the nerve in the wrist that can cause eventual problems in the mobility of the fingers. It can cause arthritis, and also tingling, numbness, neck pain and maybe debilitating later in life. However if you stretch and strengthen the underside of your wrist and hand-you maybe able to prevent or reverse any issues that you may start to have. Just a friendly suggestion to prevent issues that you may already be aware of. But it is a real concern for artists and craftsmen-& no one wants to stop working bc of preventable issues.
I totally agree.....never thought to mention before or even think about wire workers getting this horrible condition....I got mine yrs ago doing cleaning....sorry to say had surgery on both my hands(not at same time,they do em seperate) and since ops my Carpal tunnel is back with a vergence....if anyone has this problem id say dont have surgery unless your not going to do same thing that caused it. There are hand and wrists wraps you can get that are supose to help...i cant say yah or nah as never bothered too but am considering trying them...the worst pain you can get usually mine is sleeping your nad goes into a certain position....the pain will wake you up and all you can do is wait for it to pass.....nothing helps....Good Luck too All.......hugssss

Dear Trotter, It is very thoughtful of you to mention the above. Yes its is a problem even for us that does it for a hobby. I want to mention that since I started yoga exercise it really helped alot especially the numbing pain of my left forearm. I love crafts and cooking and not about to give up but slows down as I get older.
