- Exiled by a group of Marvel "heroes" to the savage alien planet of Sakaar, the Hulk raged, bled and conquered through the pages of last year's "Planet Hulk" epic, rising from slave to gladiator to king. Now the Hulk returns to Earth to wreak his terrible vengeance on Iron Man, Reed Richards, Dr. Strange and Black Bolt -- and anyone else who gets in his way. Stronger than ever, accompanied by his monstrous Warbound gladiator allies, and possessed by the fiercest and purest rage imaginable, the Hulk may just tear this stupid planet in half.
▸ The Incredible Hulk is an ongoing comic book series featuring the Marvel Comics superhero the Hulk and his alter ego Dr. Bruce Banner. First published in May 1962, the series ran for six issues before it was cancelled in March 1963, and the Hulk character began appearing in Tales to Astonish. With issue 102, Tales to Astonish was renamed to The Incredible Hulk in April 1968, becoming its second volume. The series continued to run until issue 474 in March 1999 when it was replaced with the series Hulk which ran until February 2000 and was retitled to The Incredible Hulk's third volume, running until March 2007 when it became The Incredible Hercules with a new title character. The Incredible Hulk returned in September 2009 beginning at issue 600, which became The Incredible Hulks in November 2010 and focused on the Hulk and the modern incarnation of his expanded family. The series returned to The Incredible Hulk in December 2011 and ran until January 2013, when it was replaced with The Indestructible Hulk as part of Marvel's Marvel NOW! relaunch.

I forget if Dr. Strange really can solve the problem of bringing Planet Hulk and the people back to life.
Black Panther was never really one of my favorite characters, but I so much respect for him. Calling what the Illuminati were attempting to do with taking the world under their hands and judgment foolish was impressive but obvious foresight. He saw the flaw in the concept before it was even fully realized and peaced out. T'chala is a great character.
He joins them later though. Taking the problem of incursions in there own hands killing other worlds to save their own instead of trying to save both. He was smart enough in this instance because he knew this would bite em ass later.

This is easily one of the best Marvel stories ever written in my opinion. I absolutely love the Hulk and have read this story before, and its just awesome reading / watching it again. Its just that good!
I love how the remaining Illuminati try to wrangle Ghost Rider into fighting Hulk on their behalf and Ghost Rider just nope's the fuck out of there. Not because he's scared or anything, but because he feels Hulk's mission is totally justified. Always loved that part lol.

Why they thought the Spirit of Vengeance was going to stop a roaring rampage or revenge in the first place will always be a question for the ages.

aye, uh, world breaker hulk was no joke. I see some readers didn't care for this but I enjoyed the arc
it gave us the ultimate worst case scenario with the hulk, and, it gave a level of depth to his character. this story kind of personifies some of us as humans who unfortunately have gone through things that puts us in a fit of rage that noone or nothing can stop. we destroy or friend and family, even out lives by that one thought stuck time. hulk is no different. well just times 10 trillion right now. but this is definitely great writing and commentary from Rob (CE), GOTCHA Homeslice!!!! lol I hey Dr. strange's hand looks like rolled up homework paper lol

I've re-read Planet Hulk + WW Hulk about a dozen times. And it always cracks me up when everyone says. ''Oh no Hulk is so mad he's going to kill us all so we better make a device to kill him'' Bitch please, he's making you look like fools showing you he's the Strongest There Is! And he can put you in your place if he wanted to. He could take over the planet just like Maestro but just doesn't. He hasn't even tried to kill anyone.

He didn't fight Zeus, Zeus was using his full power on one of the weakest Hulk incarnations to date, Hulk wasn't fighting back and he wanted him to cure his family out of being monsters (wanted to cure them being Hulks), the one time Hulk punched Zeus just to catch his attention, he embarrassed him infront of his wife and smashed him into columns.
Hey rob what's your thoughts on the impact of Thor being there? Also who's side do you believe Thor would take after he found out what they did to him. I believe Thor wouldn't side with earths heroes because of how black and white things are about honor with Thor. Just taking note of how Ghost Rider judged hulks rampage. If an Angel judged hulks rage as just, I believe Thor would do the same
I Fully agree.... but also i feel that Thor would be tempted to fight hulk at this stage since Thor is a warrior through and through and ti doubt he would miss a fight like this.
But Thor also protects Earth realm so chances are he would fight back on that strength alone even if he does agree with Hulk's motive.
That's my view on it anyway.
+Marquez Jean-Baptiste I believe Thor would fight initially and it would be monumental, we talking earth shattering but Thor always converses while fighting and it would be unraveled during that fight and would make Thor lose his will to protect the so called friends or heroes who would do this to o someone as straightforward as hulk. Remember Thor would beat the shit outta anyone who would harm Asgard just off of talk alone but when the truth is brought to light he always makes it right and he would leave the people who wronged hulk to there own brought about justice

Good question that got me thinking, being like Living Tribunal rarely get involved...only if something messes up the order of that universe do they get involved but something popping up and just killing things is not out of the ordinary so they have no need to pop up, just me trying to overlook plotholes lol
Like I said, it's just me making stuff up to try & over look plotholes lol. For that one I'd have to read it then pull one out of my rear and hope it makes sense haha but thats one of the things about reading I like, not everything needs to be explained or fed to the reader but leaves things open for the read to come to their own conclusion.
Then there's the time Infinity imprisoned Death and thus kept everything from dying and... even then The Living Tribunal didn't get involved. By the way where's my Unipool action figure?
A lot of these are what if stories and to makes some excuse for Marvel forgetting a lot of their deus ex machina characters, The Living Tribunal doesn't get involved in something that can be resolved by mortals or the lesser entities.

ScrewAttack messed up on that part. Hulk's... well everything, scales with his anger. World Breaker is where he's at when he's (through his publication history) at his absolute angriest. Yes you can overtax his healing factor but it was NEVER shown in that this was possible while in world breaker form.
For example when he fought another world breaker hulk near ENDLESSLY without calming down, while his powers continued to scale upwards ripping a whole in the dimension he was in only to have him take his attention elsewhere, thus calming himself down afterwards.

Really enjoying your videos on this! it's neat to see people who liked this story, because I HATE WWH. Such a let down after Planet Hulk, my favorite hulk story. The writing is lazy, hulk has the old I'm as strong as the writers need me to be even though people have defeated me before problem here. He is also literally a monster, as he seriously hurts people who had nothing to do with his situation and are protecting their friends. It would have been nice to see a little more reaction from hulk to hearing Cap is dead. Xavier wasn't even in on the decision, hulk knows this and still hurts those x kids just to ask a question. It's obvious the point was to set up the Sentry vs Hulk, but Sentry just sits there doing nothing, and no explanation in this particular comic. In fact he changes, gets up, says lets go then sits back down and acts like a zombie, no explanation why. Interesting to see you guys opinions on this though!
auberondreaming Lazy writing ? This is basically development of Bruce and the Hulks relationship when they work together, and his powers. He is built on anger and Banner makes him smarter. Strange almost fucked him up but they tricked him, they didn't need to just use brute strength and he's a more effective fighter

Totally agree. Weak follow up to planet hulk. BMB's lack of character development and storytelling shines here. The title of WWH alone suggests a conflict that would take place across the planet. There was a lot of potential and the idea is great but the execution was poor.

Anime Battles HQ according to those hero's the war bounds physical strength was around hulk old base level, so probably about as strong as colossus or weaker, they wouldn't be able to win
why would you be pissed about that. I remember reading in the story Spiderman saying each of the warbound were as strong as a calm Hulk. So they would beat those heros
The Warbound is roughly Hulk a little above normal strength. They're not Hulks team for nothing. Colossus could take them though.

You forgot to mention the fact that the HULK gave She-Hulk ONE CHANCE to leave because she was family and the fact that the She-Hulk learned about the exile earlier in her own comic.

What about Hulk vs Ghost Rider
They need to make a MCU version of this story

The key difference being Hulk sent himself away with everyone trying to get him to come back. So how do we have world war hulk?
I had that thought a few times, and taking some liberties for plot, the easiest idea I came up with to keep in the confines of the MCU would've been to basically do an Avengers 2.5 within Inc. Hulk 2, or _Avengers: World War_ or something like that. But the basic idea is that..... lets go with The Leader pulls a dick move on Bruce by causing the death of Betty by pitting Tony in one of those "One life to save millions" kind of deal and even she's like "Do it! Save everyone, ya bloody dickhead!" midway into the movie, which Cap is naturally angry about but has an understanding about because doomsday timers and all that.
Fast forward we have Bruce going after Tony but has to fight through the other Avengers concluding on a heavy handed fight with Vision and Vision. From there within the Avengers team Tony is all "What if we just remove Banner from Earth?" Steve is naturally against it and it ends on Thor's people escorting Banner off Earth since no one in Asgard would fuck with him and he's removed from Earth's issues and never needing to turn to Hulk.
From there the Hulk's rampage adds fuel to the fire of Civil War, while Loki is currently ruling Asgard pulls a dick move and kicks Banner off to Ragnarok to die.
Well now Thor Rangnarok is out, I can safely say we aren't getting WWH anytime soon. Not sure WB hulk is even an established thing in the MCU yet.
ben russell What if something happens with Black Widow. She dies at the avengers hands (or maybe during a fight agenst a villian) Hulk get enraged and destroys a city. They send him away to a planet. From there He calms down has a family then loses it all again. He freaks out and goes world breaker and blames the avengers. From there this happens.
