Blind Audition is for The Voice, because it focuses mainly just the voice quality and musicality. But for Idol, regardless which country, they're looking for a complete package, not just singing.
Mark Kram there is nothing wrong about what he said, he is indeed singing in a VERY HIGH LARYNX, hence the pushed/forced sound. The high note was a little relaxed because he was opening his mouth in a relaxed vowel producing a more open sound, but there is evident tension because he’s singing in a high larynx placement. I am a vocal coach myself if ever you have doubts.☺️
I agree with what James Reid said... he modulated too much specially from the very start to the point na hindi naging natural yung dating ng voice kaya hindi naramdaman ang feels ng song... He can sing and it seems he can do something more if mapractice niya pa how to make it more natural... kasi pag hindi mo timbre ang tendency mo is i-match dun sa timbre ng original which is wrong... you must make it your own... My thoughts. Haha... opinion lang

Moira's judgements needs more conviction and authenticity. (Be an independent judge) As a competition judge, Its okay to say NO as long as it comes from your own core values and standards. Let ones comments and impression agree with your final verdict. I believe contestants wouldn't take it personally if they receive NO as a deciding vote from Moi. I have nothing against Lucho Beech or even Moira. My point: Judging independently. (Let your "No" mean NO and your "Yes", mean YES.) Have we ever wondered why Libra's eyes are covered? When judges say "NO" sinasabi ng iba na di sila marunong mag judge at di sila marunong magbigay ng space for improvement but when they say "Yes" sinasabi naman na ganito ganyan kaya nag Yes ang judges. This is a joke right? James is the king of modulating his own voice when he sings. I hate to be honest, but James has no credibility to say anything is wrong with his modulation. I like James as a TV personality, but if you're gonna' be strict and honest, you kind of need to be able to back it up.
