Fun fact... there were only 16 minutes of dinosaurs in this movie... but only 4 minutes were CGI. The rest were practical puppets and animatronics. That's why the dinosaurs look so good for 1993. The later movies relied too heavily on CGI and they don't look as good, in my opinion. I loved your reaction. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie! 😎
@@NMDmoviesFun fact. During the first T-Rex attack scene, the 🌧️ kept causing the gears in Rexy to seize up. So, they'd have to stop shooting to dry her off. She was so messed up by the 🌧️, that sometimes she would actually move a little on her own. Their was a joke that she was haunted, or something.
@@manxgirl That's right and in fact some of the kids screams were more real because of the T-rex's abrupt movements especially the scene where it smashes through the vehicles glass roof.
A classic movie, and a very fun reaction. Always fun to see a new reaction to this movie franchise. One thing though, I’m pretty sure Nedry was being sarcastic when he said “Thanks dad”. Not actually Hammond’s kid. I mention this as someone who made the same mistake when I watched. Keep up the fun reactions and keep asking questions.
That makes a lot of sense!! That’s one reason I like making these videos is bc you guys catch things I miss! Thanks for watching more reactions coming!!!
@@NMDmoviesWell, the old man's last name is Hammond, and his name is Dennis Nedry. How people don't catch that, I don't understand. Dennis is just being sarcastic when he said: "Thanks dad!" To Hammond's lecture.
The fact that Spielberg directed "Jurassic Park" while making "Schindler's List" is a testament to his creativity and genius. He also teamed with one of my favorite composers John Williams once again for the main score which they worked together for the main score for Spielberg's 1975 "Jaws" film. Williams also composed the score for "Star Wars" which is all why all 3 movies have a similar unassuming jovial sound despite the thilling and menacing nature of the action. Great reaction ❤
Feeling the T-Rex footsteps in the theaters seats...while seeing ripples in the water (done by using a guitar string underneath the dashboard) was one of the most intense cinematic experiences ever. I saw this 6 times in theaters with different people every time, that's how epic it was. Absolutely perfect combinations of practical and CGI, before they completely relied.
My Black friends don't even like camping with me "Why would we go sleep on the ground for no reason?. Yeah makes sense I guess. White people are weird. Why in the actual F**** would they go to Jurassic Park?. And yep that's Sam lol
I can't tell you how jealous I am that you got to experience this first time in Cinema. Im too young at 32 to have done so. I keep watching out for cinemas that do re-runs of old films in case it comes up, though it wont have quite the same impact as a first viewing. Clearly, cinema sound would bring a whole new level to this! Very jealous!
@@NMDmovies Looking forward to it! I was about to make a comment in relation to the book but I held back, not knowing if you wanted any spoilers or not.
You got nervous in that third act! RIP the Straw! 😂 This movie takes me back to my childhood. I was a teenager when it came out and back then if you didn't see it in the theater you were extremely excited to watch it on DVD and my parents had just bought a surround sound system when it came out on DVD. Anybody who came to my house was going to watch the first trex scene to hear the magnitude of the roars. My dad was so excited to show off that system with THAT SCENE. All my friends knew when they came over my dad was going to ask "Ya seen the trex scene on our new system yet?" 😅 He'd turn out all the lights and fast forward to that part on the vcr. He was serious! 😂
Before you move on to Jurassic World, check out the rest of the Jurassic Park series. For me, 2 is ok, but 3 is pretty good. None of them compare to this one tho.Good reaction. Really enjoyed it. You demolished that straw. 😂
I'm too young to have seen this in Cinema, but i bet that experience for those lucky enough to do so was incredible, for that booming cinema sound! Im sure many will say this, but the book by Michael Crichton is also incredible, and differs quite a bit. It talks about the science a bit in a very believable way. The issues with the park aren't just caused by the one computer guy, their are more underlying issues that have gone unseen. And some of the characters have a bit different personality. its a bit darker, and quite gripping especially in the 2nd half. If you're a reader, or perhaps audio book guy, well worth a shot when you find time, at the very least the first book. it also eludes to dinosaurs escaping the park and island, Flying ones, velociraptors using ships etc. Its really cool.
....................in his defense, did it ever occur to you that Hammond thought it was a perfectly fine idea to send his grandkids out there? Regard for people's personal safety does not appear to be that man's strong point. (And you haven't watched many reactions to this, have you? More than half the people think Nedry is Hammond's son, even with the completely different last names and lack of personal empathy)
Personally for me, the special effects of this movie still hold up but we are more than three decades more advanced in the science. If you want to see the latest up-to-date knowledge, watch either or both Prehistoric Planet and Prehistoric Planet 2. One thing that gets me about the entire series is their portrayal of velociraptors, which is now stuck in the public's mind. The dinos they called that were either Deinonychus or maybe Utah raptors (but they thought "velociraptor" sounded better). Real velociraptors were about the size of a turkey or so. The biggest difference is that scientists have found lots of evidences for feathers, particularly on the branch of dinos that include T-rex and velociraptors (and of course birds ARE dinosaurs, avian dinosaurs, descended from dinos but still dinos, just like we are descended from mammals but are mammals). The T-rex might have been too large for discernable feathers, just like elephants aren't considered furry. But the ones that did have feathers often had longer feathers on their forearms, basically wings, even if they couldn't quite fly. (Scientists can even tell the colors of some of these and they weren't reptile gray-green but bright colors, like . . . birds again.
Not everyone involved with the park died. Most of them went home on the ship. Just the weekend crew died. Also, don't expect the visuals to get better with the sequels. The second one is about this same caliber. Everything from there on is graphically much much worse.
Just found your channel. Great reaction! You seem like lots of fun so I gave you a sub and I’ll check out your library. These movies are definitely worth watching Jurassic Park II & III and then all three newer Jurassic Worlds. I’ll look out for those on here. Good luck with your channel! :)

The fat guy Dennis is not related to John Hammond. Dennis was being sarcastic when John was lecturing him about his financial issues

You’re right! I missed that I guess I just thought it would add to the story. Makes more sense now that I think about it!

Jeff Goldblum's Jurassic Park: "Must go faster...." 🦖
Jeff Goldblum Independence Day: "MUST GO FASTER!!!" 👽
Jeff Goldblum isn't actually an actor, he's just Jeff Goldblum caught on camera. Now that's chaos.
Nedry and Hammond weren't related. Nedry's "dad" was meant as a sarcastic aside at Hammond's comments to him.
oh always thought he ment father in law
First of all Dennis is NOT related the the owner of the place. He only said dad out of anger
Makes sense now but once he said “dad” it just stuck to brain

Take 45 seconds out of your day and watch "Jurassic Park But With A Cat" it'll make you feel better...
i’ll look it up lol
That sound the velociraptors made is velociraptor for "Gang Gang"
Imagining the smell of a T-Rex's breath...when he blew Tim's hat off.
