Its funny how most of the people on these shows are middle aged guys 'including myself' that love comics that do not by many new comics out now. The opposite of what the comic industry wants. On a positive note Skybound & Dynamite gave the fans what they wanted with Transformers, GI.I Joe & Thundercats.
2024 looks like there's a dip coming towards the end of the year with the doom and gloom posts lately. I rarely pay more than $5 a comic and have found beautiful finds, so bring on the crash. Economic down turns are the BEST time to collect. Feed and enjoy the spoils, my friends!
Great show! Here we learn Dennis' son has been beta testing Rivals? We would have loved a few more timely tips and a stronger 'heads up' about Jeff the Shark, Galacta and Luna a month or two ago. There has been so much misplaced Marvel speculation recently on Dazzler and other dusty bronze/copper age IPs when people could have been stacking Luna Snow books.
I've downsized. Now I only own 40 floppy comic books. 10 are graded and slabbed. They are just for wall decor anyways. For reading I just buy collected editions. This 2025 I'm going to venture out into action figures and original art but there will be a cap in my collection. I wont go overboard. My New Ear's resolution is to only buy 5 Golden/Silver/Bronze/copper age comics a year.
You're doing a fantastic job! Could you help me with something unrelated: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Yeah I just pulled a fast on a kid who’s new to collecting an XO Man o war book for 25 bucks that’s absolutely trash. Up next another trash book X-Men Alpha! Let’s see if we can get the bidding up to $50. What a junk take and a junk move. Take advantage of the new buyers to dump your old product that’s a a way to build a loyal customer base and bring new readers and collectors into the hobby. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
I'm really disappointed. Would loved to have heard some actual thoughts and views in the state of the hobby. All the talk was about movies, grading or plugging their projects. I guess the lack of discussion did speak volumes in the end. There is nothing to discuss about comics anymore. If the subject ever comes back up I'd love to join the conversation with you. As a life long enthusiast with a passion for comic reading and collecting I have a lot to say and contribute. Maybe next time.
Your channel is dying, Swagglehaus. Drama is dead. The comic book RUclipsrs that are flourishing with their views right now isnt drama related. Lunch Money Comics, The Comics Den, Spros Comics, Mint Hunter Comics, Pops Comics.
Way to go Swag on bringing the community together.
Thanks for the show, Mickey! All the guests and discussion points were great. Can't wait for the next one!

Great show brother. Love the long form discussions about the hobby.

Love the format and show.
They're dead homie. But we have almost 100 years of comics behind us, so there's plenty left to enjoy
