I love the fact that they continue running the BBL even when their international team is busy. It shows they don't rely on or cater to specific players. In India, it's impossible to run the IPL without the presence of senior international players.
It's not impossible lol India can easily play an ipl without any senior players and the stadiums would still be packed. You underestimate India's love for cricket.
I think it is more due to the window available to them. The weather in Australia allows cricket to be played only during the summer season. Whereas in India cricket can be played during nights in summer as well as in winter. Which allows for domestic season during winter and IPL during summer.

Except Chris Gayle all the others have failed (likes of Pollard, Russell, Fletcher etc..) as they struggle on fast and bouncy pitches with their technique plus the big boundaries in Australia means they can't get away with blind slogging as on the smaller grounds in WI ...
