Can we just acknowledge that the Orioles are a top 3 most disadvantaged team by umps this year? The A’s were dead last and yet they even got 2 games gifted by the umps in those 1 run blown save losses for us (in both games the A’s had nearly a 1 run ump advantage). Statistics don’t lie. Guess who’s almost the most favored team on the other hand… the Yankees! 2nd only behind Cleveland, who have a huge run advantage from umps this year so far. I think Hyde needs to get thrown out more, and sooner too, and we’ll see if that makes a difference. He has to stand up for his players either way. And we really have been getting hosed all season by these umpires.
Good pitching beats good hitting and all team’s wins have to come from somewhere. Best teams win 60%, worst win 40%. Nats appear to be turning things around.
Another game, another bad home plate umpire with no clue of what a strike zone is. This cr@p is getting old. Does this epidemic of bad umpiring have anything to do with the rampant gambling that is now going on? Bring on the robots.
The word for the ump tonight was "inconsistent". It makes the hitters have no clue where the strike zone is, as O'Hearn said here. MLB has got to do something. I am more surprised nowadays when an umpire is good. They are few and far between, unfortunately.
Our offense goes asleep a lot, even when we score multiple runs in one inning from that point on , our bats do nothing. Once in awhile we may add on. If we don’t start connecting , we’ll get an early playoff exit just like last year. It’s a concern
Good for O'Hearn and Hyde for arguing....just one of those games.
The umpires are awful

Ump was very suspect tonight. Also, throw these jerseys away.
blaming losses on the jersey being worn is the most cringe smooth brain bullshit in sports.
@Fa11out I know right?😂
For O’Hearn to lose his cool shows how bad it was. 😕
It’s all good Ryan! Sometimes you got to let out what you wanted to say. You still my hitter!
I hate when our offense goes stone cold like this.

City connect jerseys are cursed. The nats jerseys are even worse
I wish umpires cared more about the game than the money they make betting on it.
Way to tell these umpires they pissed me off too
These umpires are so damn awful bro we may need robot umps at this point

Lol. Agreed. It's crazy when a good performance is more memorable because they're so rare.
