So my issue is I learned to strum with my fingers (which I still kind of suck at). And I picked up a pick yesterday and tried it but I don’t know how to hold it right. Also once I get a kind of good sound, I lose grip of the pick and it ends up sideways.
Best way is to go in a guitar shop if u can and try every style pick they have. Everyone battles this. I ended up using the Dunlop tortoise shell picks and when I'm feeling real good ill use the Dunlop gator pick.
He just lost that pick for ever. He's never gonna find it again istg

Hey brother "Cm" means C-minor right? What does "Eb" means? E-major or what??

I did that once and got really into it. I looked down and my guitar was covered in blood

I accidentally struck around the bottom of my nails rather then the tips of my fingers after getting into a riff.

I never use pick and strum with fingers exactly like u said
I find it that I can control my strumming much better like this but my nail is messed up now :D I wouldn't recommend to play like this all the time
Yeah it is comfortable but I don't want to mess my nail!
Somehow Stephen Stills never used a pick using this method, but I don't know how!
Well, tbh strumming without a pick can be better if you want to fingerstyle with strumming.

when strumming from down to up, sometimes my finger touches the thinnest strand the most or it dosent touch all the strands equally . can someone help
I've heard that on the up strum u don't need to strum all the strings only the lower ones
