I have the previous version of this, cracking backpack and carries easily when packed correctly, but the hip belt construction or namely the way it is attached to the main body of the bag is subpar, mine came off after about 100 miles (the fabric just disintegrates). Was really disappointed when it happened as I was getting on Kinder scout. I clipped off the other hip belt half though and use it like that, an even lighter pack and I don’t really need a hipbelt at this weight
They must have upgraded it. Mines been spot on over the last year or so with absolutely no wear and tear and I've not treated it kindly either. Great bag 👍
Thanks for the good review. I have the original Cordura version of this pack and its good overall, except for 1 major problem. Since there is no torso adjustment you have to either get lucky with the sizing or else it will sit too low. One way of improving (raising the pack higher) is to use the recommended foam pad as the structure. However, if you use the standard foam pad 190*70 cm, it won't fit in the allotted back spot. Meaning, the pad is push down by the shoulder straps and its sits on your behind. I tried cutting the pad width to 60cm but then, if I use it as a sleeping pad in cold weather, I sleep cold. I wonder if they resolved this issue on this version? If you put a full length foam pad in its holder do the should straps have enough room on top?
Thank kit. From what I've seen initially it's a great pack. Time will tell on its longevity but if its anything like my Naturehike it will last well. 👍
Funny how you're reviewing this pack. I've been looking at this online for a month now. I too have the Nature hike, but was looking for something in the 35-45l size. Looking forward to your review and thoughts.
I dislike frameless packs personally and don’t use a foam mat so I simply modified an internal frame from a 60L regatta bag and put it in the bag it only weighs a little more and provides great back support
Yes,If you want to do it yourself I will warn you one issue you might run into if you try to do this is the shoulder straps and hip belt being too loose because it was built to have a good bit of foam padding and obviously a frame isnt very thick,Also you will have to pad your frame but that’s not that difficult to do You may not I’m a very short person who’s also fairly thin so my straps and belt have to be tightened to the limit of what they can be on almost any bag I buy,If you’re a bigger person you might not run into this issue
No I wouldn't try it. The reason I asked was to ascertain why as personally I would buy the naturehike rock framed pack instead as it's cheaper and a lot less work. The only reason I would get the qidian Pro is because of the frame less pack as it makes it more ultralight. Putting a frame on it to me, defeats the object. 🤷🏼♂️
I have a 3F UL 40+10 liter with a frame and the only thing I'm not fan of, are the buckles on the shoulder straps. Too flimsy and not gripping the strap 100% tight. The string on the front pocket did come off, but I sewed it back on. At $130 I'm quite a happy camper. It takes 15 kg without any hassle. Quite decent for a 950 gram pack. Gonna be interesting to hear your take on this one.
Thanks for the info on the bag the other day Mike. I've ended up forking out £120 for the Snugpak 100ltr burgen as I need room for me beers. Still watched your review though. Very in-depth and informative as always. Keep it up and you'll be a better businessman than Paul M...
I have the same pack and really like it, find it really comfy on longer hikes I think the holes in the side pockets where the shoulder straps go through is for drainage as well. I did get mine from Ali express, £55 all in in memory serves me right, though that's probably changed by now. I have including this one 2 frameless packs and really like them as long as you pack right 😂👍👌
Exactly. It's not for everyone but not everyone packs it right. I'll be using thisngoibg forward and doing a long term review but am fairly confident in its performance. 👍
@@NoviceWildCamper I've had it for over a year now I think (you lose track 😂🤔) and had no issues at all. Good pack at a very good price, look forward to seeing what you think in the future 👌
Just got mine, 847g (haven't used the bungee cord). loaded it up with nearly 14Kg and it's comfortable, despite the lack of a frame I felt the weight was nicely on my hps and not my shoulders
Nice comprehensive review Mike … i looked hard at that one in search for a new pack …. i know frameless backpacks are in vogue but my worry is load capacity and sweaty back factor … it does have some great features though so i look forward to your long term review 👍👍 weathers breaking here finally!! so i’m itching to get out there and do some overnighters …. atb Dave Mc
Cheers dave. It's what put me off frameless packs originally hence buying the naturehike but I also have a vango ozone which has a mesh back with a gap between your back and the bag and I still sweated last year in the summer. Maybe its just me 😂 having this one at around 13kg loaded makes me feel confident in it carrying all I need plus a bit higher spec than the naturehike so it will be interesting to see how it fairs. Atb 👍
I'm not sure where I got it now. Think it was amazon but just a cheap folding foam mat. This particular bag let me down if you check my later vids where I do a comparison long term review of this and the naturehike rock framed pack but they've sent me a new version which I've been trialling for probably a year now and so far been spot on. They've reinforced stitching and build so the issues I had should be sorted. 👍
This one let me down after a few months. I posted a later review update. But they sent me another as they've upgraded it and I'm testing it currently. Hopefully this one lasts longer and hopefully you've got the new one as its a great bag otherwise 👍👌
Good review thanks. How is the back length for someone of your height? I find a lot of packs with a limited size range too short in the back length with the result that the hip belt doesn't quite sit low enough on my hips to bear the majority of the weight.
just bought one exactly like the one you have, my first concern is the waist being 28 inches so looking for an extender for the waist/hip belt but can't figure out what model of duraflex buckle it has and how wide the belt itself is? any info is much appreciated.
I believe its rated to 15kg.but if you watch my long mynd camp a few videos back you'll see me talking about it being at over 18kg and it carried it no problem at all. Very comfortable 👍
Great video 👍 Did you modify the bag to attach the water bottle holder to the strap, or did it come with it? I think that's a great idea, as I like to carry several bottles of water, which unfortunately take up both the side pockets of the bag 😕
Tough one. The naturehike I find is more comfy but the 3FUL lighter, bigger pockets and internal pocket. If I had to choose one I'd say the qidian pro. 👍
@@NoviceWildCamper Watched the long-term review. Very nice insight on the hipbelt issue. Ahh, too bad, I actually like the idea to put our sleep pad at the back, so that there is more space inside the backpack 🥲
Think I'm deffo going to seriously look into the pack, looks great! 👍 Cant wait to see the follow up reviews 👍

Hi. Yes I fit a full length large foam mat in the back. If you check my later Taiji videos you'll just about see it in the pack. Fits fine 👍
Had this pack a while only used once, covered maybe 16 miles over two days with 10kg when fully loaded. No dramas what so ever. Great bag!

Interested in the long term review because of the durability aspect
Been using it non stop since this and its faired well. No damage or issues. I'll do a long term review though once I've had it longer. 👍

If the quality is as good as the lanshans you can't go wrong at that price 👍

Great review! Do you miss not having the frame at all, espcially in terms of weight transfer to hips?
Thanks. No mot at all. Don't even notice it. Its very comfortable you just have to pack it right. 👍

How is the back length for someone of your height?
I find a lot of packs with a limited size range too short in the back length with the result that the hip belt doesn't quite sit low enough on my hips to bear the majority of the weight.
Thanks. Back length feels fine. Hip belts are just right for me and I'm 6'4. Took it on a short hike the other day and was really comfy. 👍

I have an updated review as this pack failed after longer term use. The hip belt tore away from the bag. I'm 34" waist and it fits me fine though.
Wow. Great job. Thank you for nice sharing dear friend. I wish you all the best. Like Like 146 👍💯💐💝✨👌
Cheers buddy 👍
I have a short torso. In an osprey pack i wear a small. Do you think this pack would be a bit much?
Difficult to say tbh. There's no adjustment however the length is in the top extension so possibly ok.
Great review sir!
Thansk buddy. I'll be doing another long term review of this bag soon and comparing to the naturehike and vango ozone 👍
Whats the difference between the pro which costs £80 and the non pro which costs £55 ? if you know.
As far as I'm aware it's basically the material. The pro has UHMWPE mixed nylon whereas the non pro is just nylon so the pro is more hard wearing. 👍
Cheers thx for the quick response.@@NoviceWildCamper

It fits quite easily on most packs tbh. I had it on my Naturehike too. It's available on ali express for around £12. Thanks for the comment 👍
@@NoviceWildCamper That's great, thanks! 🙂👍
Hi. Which backpack is better? Is it better to wear? Better to use? Naturehike 60L or 3FUL? Greetings from the Czech Republic
Tough one. The naturehike I find is more comfy but the 3FUL lighter, bigger pockets and internal pocket. If I had to choose one I'd say the qidian pro. 👍
that's really amazing
Thank you
What is the difference between qidian and qidian pro?
Different material and carrying weight capacity.
Ist the main compartment volume ( Liters the same)?
@@siwywarszawka it's the material and weight capacity. Not size.
Wait...it's made of what material??
UHMWPE. Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene

Is this backpack still waterproof under mid/heavy rain? Are the stuff inside get wet?
If you watch my later video I do a comparison with the 3FUL. You'll see why I did the video.
