I always enjoy watching another skilled craftsman, bend the envelope into what he wants his casting to be! I've never thought of making a round flask! Now I'm going to have to expand my mind on future castings! Thanks!
Nice job! Certainly a bigger than average casting for a home foundry. Have you seen Olfoundryman's modular cast rectangular flasks? Make them as flat sides and bolt together.
Thanks, Dave. I hope to post videos more regularly. This round flask is pretty handy but Ive never seen one anywhere else. I don't think there's any benefits other than on some parts I cast, I'm not wasting time packing sand into four corners. Next, id like to make a few like the steel one in the video but from aluminum.

Glad you enjoyed it it. Thanks for watching!
Good job!

Thank you! Its my biggest casting so far. I just checked out old foundrymans flasks. I will definitely be making something like those.
Ah, the ubiquitous cat litter bucket. Where would we be without them?
They are handy. Too bad their handles get stressed and break after a while. A bucket upgrade is needed.
I always enjoy Casting Videos Dale, thanks. Any particular benefits to a round Flask compared to the more common rectangle?
