Basically, auditions are a vibe check. Does your vibe show potential, does it feel like it'll mesh well with others, and does it feel like it might cause problems down the line? The numbers help, but they're not a shoe-in.
Ya thats most auditioned. For nightmare on elms street, Johnny Depp wasn't the first choice for the male love interest (which was a role that made him famous). They had an already famous actor as set for it, but they vibed more with Johnny when he auditioned
I wonder if (when you look at entire generations / waves) this also means that by combining some people that were already big with some people that weren't this means that the "more experienced" members can to some degree help the "less experienced" members grow and learn how to grow? This is something i've especially noticed with recent Hololive Generations, that they always seem to have at least two people that were already quite big to huge, combined with two or more "diamonds in the rough".
