Mothers of the Prophets: Mother of Moses, Mary Mother of Jesus, and Amina Mother of Muhammad (S)

So often the stories of the prophets reads. like a tale of male figures: Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, may the peace of God be upon them all. But what about the women?
This talk is a meditation on three of the mothers of the Prophets: Mother of Moses, Mary Mother of Jesus, and Amina Mother of the blessed Prophet Muhammad, may the peace of God be upon them all.
Among other factors, we will talk about opinions in classical Islam which talked about the existence of female prophets, and the crucial role of the mothers of the prophets as embodiments of the spiritual path. In doing so, we will cover material from the Qur'an, teachings of the Prophet, and Sufi sages like Mawlana Rumi.
