@@thenotsookayguy difficulty is a matter of opinion. For me this one is easier due to the fact that I am good at remembering pieces. But playing faster pieces is still harder for me
@@thenotsookayguy I learned both. This ones dynamics are harder but it's not as intense, while the first ones dynamics are simpler for many people the technique to play the speedy arpeggios are what makes it difficult. But it does work as a good warmup 😊
@@EnzoCAvila i never said it wasnt hard either? i just assumed the person who asked the question thought this sounded 'too easy' to be a transcendental etude
This is probably my least favorite of his 12 Etudes, but it's still good in parts. It's just the whole beginning sections and the last part lacks the exciting powerful intricacy of most of his Etudes.
@Yunxiang Bai I'm learning it now, I try to think of it as a brief train ride across the country, so as to convey less of a sickly sweet demeanor, more calming and dreamy I suppose
This is really emotional,Liszt is genius, literally
Liszt è un grande. Uno dei più alti e abili compositori ddlla storia, secondo me
So emotional, extending the melodic line to almost 6 mins, bravo!
I was hoping for some twist to it as Chopin would do. It's clearly Chopin-influenced in any case.
I've never heard a more satisfying interpretation of this. Sublime.
Hammer wie die alle den liszt spielen, ich wünschte ich könnte das auch eines Tages
Whaou juste magnifique
Fun fact: This came from a theme Liszt wrote when he was 15 y.o. in his etude s.136 no.3, of course easier....
like every transcendental etude???
Liszt’s virtuosity was no match for his emotional depth.
I can heard some impressionism in this piece
fUNNY cause this is the easiest TE etude by Liszt
Check Liszt etude s.136 no.3, basically the easier version of this etude
@@HowardTse I said easiest TE (Transcendental Etude) not his entire etudes
@@SCRIABINIST I'd argue No. 1 is easier than this.

how is this a transcendental etude please
Legato
It's a study on pedals, musicality and legatos
transcendental etude doesn't mean difficult. this is a study about intonation, pedals, and legato
@@levonkeijner1092 and who said this isnt hard? It is "easier" than other TEs, still being hard though

S.137 No. 3 is a bit more exiting than this.
