    These adorable Preemie Baby Hats are super easy and so so cute! Who have you crocheted one for?

    My daughter wasn’t technically a preemie as she was 16w6d but measured about 17w4d, but i desperately wished we could of had a little hat and blanket for her. A project I’m working on is making hats and blankets for her size and up to donate to our local hospital. It was such a hard hard day, but the little gifts we got after losing her meant the world.
    Thank you for sharing this easy to follow pattern. 🤍

      Dear London, I'm so sorry for your loss - and having had a similar situation myself, I know how awful it feels. It is wonderful that you're making gifts for your local hospital, absolutely so kind of you - I know just what you mean about gifts, it is so lovely when someone acknowledges a very early born baby like this. Sending you all my love and hoping that you're ok xxxx kindest wishes, love Merion and the LoveCrafts team xxx

    Adorable... I snapscreened the directions... Very easy little hat...Perfect to make to match my preemie blankets... it looked like 4weight yarn...Might have to add a round for DK weight. Hook size? Probably a 5mm...a G, or F woukd work for the DK weight...I thunk.

      @lovecraftscom  5 лет назад

      Hi Sandy, thank you so much for your comment - I'll add some instructions to the video, you can use any weight yarn and any weight hook to make this hat, so that you can alter the size by adding rounds. I think we probably need to add some text and some examples! Thank you so much for your lovely comment xxxx love Merion x

    Way too fast for beginners to fellow... No information re, type of yarn used, size of hook, etc. I really think most people prefer the spoken word, to just music.
    The hat is so cute.. Exactly what I was looking for... I’m an experienced crocheted, so I can guess about hook size, yarn etc., but a newbie would feel confused..

      Hi Sandy - yes, we absolutely agree with you - these were filmed a long time ago and we are steadily replacing them with more comprehensive videos! Glad you like the hat - it is teeny weeny - but with a bigger hook and bigger yarn, it will come up larger. I am pretty sure that was Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran, and possibly a 5mm hook but I'll check. Kindest, Merion xx

    • @lovecraftscom
      @lovecraftscom  3 года назад +1

      HI Dorothy, you can use any yarn as long as you have the hook size to match. We are told that hospitals often prefer acrylic yarns just in case a baby has allergies or sensitivities to wool. I hope that helps! Kindest wishes from Merion and the LoveCrafts team x

    It says to work 10 dc in circle but your doing hdc

    • @lovecraftscom
      @lovecraftscom  3 года назад +2

      Hi Melody - the UK double crochet stitches are just into the circle at the start, and then after that, UK half trebles - so for US, there are 10 sc at the start and then following that, hdc. Hope that helps! Merion and the LoveCrafts team xx
