I am 34 books away from hitting my Read What You Own challenge, and then I can buy the Garbology, I cannot wait! I'm only on my second Garbaugust book (Infestation by William Mielke), so I'm hoping to carve out more reading time to hit both my RWYO challenge goal and make a good dent in the TBR I chose.

I’ve started GarbAugust with a horror novel called Stolen Tongues. Love this month!

I’m loving Garbology! I haven’t read anything that wonderfully trashy since high school 😂😃📚

I've just finished reading Deep-Sixed Without a Depth Gauge, a short story by Andrew J. Wilson. A big Scottish man steals $15m from a pair of Mafia guys on a plane, jumps from the plane like DB Cooper, then swims to his rescue ship only to find the crew have been turned into zombies by giant isopods lodged in their brains. Perfect for GarbAugust, highly recommended!

What you don’t do well is not serve a diverse range of looks. We need prints and we need accessories.

I found a copy of The Snake at a thrift store earlier this year but haven’t read it.

I've read The Snake! Loved it as a kid. I actually wanted to recommend this to you months ago as it seems archetypal Ollie fare. Hope you enjoy it!

That 'women writing letters to killers in prison' is a very real thing. Before I retired a few years ago I had twenty years working in the prison service of my state here in Australia. Lots of women write to dangerous men in prison. it's a 'safe' way for them to elevate themselves in their peer group as the guy is locked away. But it's not always safe. We had at least one such woman write and then visit and then offer accommodation to a guy after release from a sentence for murder, and he murdered her as well. Some people are so hungry for attention and a sense of significance that they walk willingly into such danger.
