hey you mentioned part of my comment lol, usually when kpop idols/bands release a new album and song, they go on shows in korea to promote their music, but when day6 put this song out they also decided not to promote this song like usual because these lyrics are how most the members felt during this time of their lives. When this song came out, i also felt that way, so this song is very special to me so im glad you enjoyed it. Definitely check out the m/v, even if its mostly korean lyrics, the message is still the same.
Thanks so much for your reaction! I really have a strong preference for the original Korean version of this song; the lyrics just have so much depth and the music video has such powerful storytelling. Based on some of your other videos I’ve seen, I can think of several of Day6’s b-side tracks you might appreciate. ‘Rescue Me’ and ‘Deep in Love’ are the first that come to mind. Rescue Me has an absolutely insane bass line that packs a punch, and I was super surprised to learn that their keyboardist actually came up with that part of the composition! There are colour-coded lyric videos with English translations that show who sings which part. I think some lyric translations are better than others though, so I’ll check and comment back here with a reliable RUclips channel!
@@Savage-ReactionsYou’re welcome! I don’t think RUclips will let me post links here bc of spam, but you can choose the lyric videos from a channel called ‘iwee’. Those are pretty decent 👍🏽
Not Angie singing Cranberries... ahem, not me doing the same when I first saw the title of this one. I truly thought it was going to be a cover when I first watched it. Obviously I was very wrong, and I'm very happy that I was because it's a great song! 😂 DAY6 is a K-band, yes. They're under JYP's in-house label "Studio J", which is also the label of Xdinary Heroes. Don't feel bad about not being able to keep it straight whether it's K-pop, K-rock, J-pop, etc. I've long since given up trying to keep it straight, it either clicks in my brain or it doesn't. I'm pretty sure I hadn't seen this particular version of the song, but I love the original and had read the lyrics previously. Day6 has great lyrics. You guys really enjoyed the lyrics for "Shoot Me" as well. Yay for another one that Angie really enjoyed! And double-yay for adding it to the playlist!!!
