I’ve watched most of Ben’s videos; how he doesn’t have a million subscribers or raking in sponsor money is beyond me. Simply the best drywall videos on RUclips, hands down.
True that, Paul. Some years back, I paid around $50 for access to drywall finishing videos by another contractor on his personal website. Ben's tips include stuff I didn't learn in the series I paid for.
OMG Armstrong you just said it then plus what I was gonna say about Ben, I just subscribed to his RUclips channel, yap I agree his is the best drywall master hands down.
I’ve been doing drywall on my own homes for the past 30 years! I’ve always sucked at it and eventually had to hire someone else to fix my jobs. That’s until now, after watching Ben’s videos, I’ve finally done a job I am proud of. Not a blemish , scratch or hump. Even the ceiling has no humps, bumps, cracks or air pockets. Thanks Ben very much.
I have been remodeling 40 yrs and done a lot of drywall. I am pretty good at it. I could never teach or even describe the process as well as this good man. It is a joy to watch him and listen to him. I am just a couple hours south of the border from Vancouver BC but many materials and techniques are different. I would be so happy to buy you a coffee,my friend. Peace
Hello! Housewife and mother of three here. Thanks to your videos I was able to successfully finish the drywall in our guest bedroom. It saved us a lot of money!!
I learned drywall because of this guy and I referred his video to others and now they do drywall as well im really a framer though?? But people think im a drywaller??? Im glad you broke it down.. Puts food and boots and drywall in my truck!!!
Outstanding video. I’m a DIYer doing a major down to the bare studs house renovation. I’ll go a year or two between drywalling jobs, so I’ve been binge watching drywalling videos for weeks. Your videos are the absolute best! This one is one of the best with the voice over. Very informative and entertaining. I’m in the U.S.A. so some of the brands and types of mud are somewhat different. Keep up the good work!
Maria Maniscalco when you find something you love to do it seems easy. I been a carpenter/ contractor for 25 years and I love it! Does not mean things are easy but there’s always a way for good results. Ok yore right this guy makes it look easy.

Making an art form from an arduous task isn’t easy. Ben does it well and points out a few of his favorite roses along the way. I’m about to begin my own project and this video will make it so much easier, and even enjoyable.
Honestly, as a DIYer, seeing all the rough spots before you fill and mud, made me feel so much better about my own work. In my mind you think the pros never make mistakes or have to fill huge holes but what you're only seeing is the finished product. Not saying the skills are the same (i'm still learning) but it helps knowing filling gaps is just part of the process.
just bought my first house, orange peel (but just caused by bad painting years past) everywhere. Tons of patches were going to show through because going from smooth patch to textured is always gonna show through paint so I decided to give skim coating the walls a go. I used a hawk and trowel for the first time and used all the things I learned from watching your vids and I have to say, all though it doesnt look like you did it, it look amazing none the less, and I have neurological issues with my hands right now so that hawk and trowel was a god send! Thanks for the help! After watching you make light work of that nightmare of a room, (ceiling, corners, boxed-in pipes etc.) I find my project looks pretty easy now.
Hey Ben: Thanks for all the great drywall tips. I've been a carpenter/remodeler for three decades and can frame and trim with good efficiency. But nowadays around here you can't get a professional drywall contractor for anything less than a whole house so having to do my own drywall on remodels really hurt my ability to make bank. I've been trying some of your suggestions and I'm getting a lot faster and better. Much obliged. This is going to open up a lot more opportunities.
You work like a charm and you help us to save a lot of money learning from you, this is pure gold since over here anyyone you pay to do this job only make shit no exception and because of that i'm starting to do this myself in my home. Just wanted to add my thanks to everyone else. You had a helpful video of every step of the drywall process that was so easy to follow that even I was able to get (relatively) flat joints. Thanks!
Ben, I never comment, but when you did the little dance after finishing the ceiling I just burst out laughing! You're a great teacher and a person, keep up the good work, the people really appreciate you! All the best.

You did an excellent job showing us how to do this work! I have to be honest, I have always been intimidated by doing this to my Reno’s so I usually hire it out. I just remodeled the large part of my home and I am going to do the much and taping myself. I have looked at your videos and feel more comfortable with my abilities. Thank you for showing the wisdom of this art.
I discovered your RUclips channel through a comment by Peter Najar on the RUclips channel Odd Life Crafting. Peter said to view your video on how to float drywall properly. I have never used a paint roller to apply the second coat of mud on a ceiling joint. Very interesting concept.
Agreed. ! Best drywall videos out there..... bar none. I dont know the fellow, but it is very obvious from the excellent craftsmanship, tools, and the general method he does things, it is very possible, he may have done it once.. or twice before. Good info in these vids AND not explained to death on any one thing. Very well done, as if the audience is intelligent! NOICE !
My husband and I have renovated Victorians, and now we're renovating a 60s ranch. I never have to sand when I do drywall. I somehow get the mud on very smooth in long, fan-like strokes, building up thin coats. This always surprises my husband. To me, he's messy, always leaving too much mud and deep furrows behind that have to be sanded.
I have fumbled my way through so many drywall repairs in my 35 years as a homeowner. Thank you, thank you for showing us how it's done. Maybe my next attempt won't look like a plaster moonscape.
Man, I’ve watched about 4 or 5 videos and have been making a mess out of mess drywall mud for years but just a few personal projects actually. Just those tips have made a huge difference in my work, thank you. Even if it’s my own fault lol.
For me at least, Ben's videos are as relaxing than Bob Ross's and far more useful. It's the greater artist who corrects happy little accidents. Ben's channel is the Zen of all things drywall where a DIYer or pro can find peace, oneness, and enlightenment along the path to reduced sanding time. I can either listen, watch, and learn in full consciousness, or put the TV on sleep timer and quietly slip off to sleep to gentle Ben's gentle tones.
I’ve watched most of Ben’s videos; how he doesn’t have a million subscribers or raking in sponsor money is beyond me. Simply the best drywall videos on RUclips, hands down.
Paul Armstrong, agreed. Ben is the man. Easy to watch, super knowledgeable. Someone throw this dude some sponsors.
True that, Paul. Some years back, I paid around $50 for access to drywall finishing videos by another contractor on his personal website. Ben's tips include stuff I didn't learn in the series I paid for.

Should Try Home RenoVision, his DIY taping video is best iv ever seen. Guy is a master
100% agree. He talk less and when he talk he only talks about resonable things .
Brother you're the Bob Ross of drywall. No one on RUclips does it like you . GOD BLESS

yes, I do handyman work. It's harder than he makes it look and sanding is the WORST part.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who cuts out the v channel in cracking potential joints
I'm a big fan of your instructional drywall vid. Please keep up the great work 😉👍
Agreed. NOICE !
Ben I just discovered your videos this week and I want to thank you for your easy explanations and have made this a great and useful education.
"Such a great vid.You demonstrate so many neat ,time savin' pro tips. Wish I had you helpin' me with my reno right now! Keep up the good work!"
"Please tell me I'm not going to leave it like that..." lol! Love your videos! Keep them coming!
Always like your viewpoints using real world scenarios.
Nice to see all the tools you use. Take care you don't wear out your shoulders.
I been in construction all my life. You are A1 drywaller.
You look like Berry Allen from the Flash TV Series.
Thank you for this awesome training it really helped me.
you are the man Ben! As the others said, can’t understand how you have less than 10mil subs, your funny as well as amazing knowledgeable
Your actually an artist!
Wow! That was like watching an artist at work. Very impressive video!
Don’t even know how I got here but it was very satisfying I watched the whole thing 😊
I always learn a lot from your videos. Great job Ben.
I have fumbled my way through so many drywall repairs in my 35 years as a homeowner. Thank you, thank you for showing us how it's done. Maybe my next attempt won't look like a plaster moonscape.
Your work man is simply satisfying. Keep it up.
Man, I’ve watched about 4 or 5 videos and have been making a mess out of mess drywall mud for years but just a few personal projects actually. Just those tips have made a huge difference in my work, thank you. Even if it’s my own fault lol.
Glad to help!
I really enjoyed the way you shot this and how you talked about it keep up the great videos Ben
If your doing all this stuff by yourself, the you my friend are a beast!!
