1:12:25 For what it's worth, a few days ago I had a suspect false surrender and take a shooting stance (one knee down, barrel forward, and finger on the trigger) and the game gave me an unauthorized use of deadly force ding too. Sometimes it feels like they need to almost kill you before the game clears deadly force.

I've been trying to do this challenge as well, it took me a few attempts for the Mindjot mission. Had to extract a few times, the post level is giving me a hard time as well. Always enjoy your content!
Hey librarian can you play lone echo if you like space cool ass scenery and aliens this game is for you it is a chill game it is on vr available in steam and meta
Game was cool but i feel its fallen off. It's stopped feeling like a swat sim with the ever escalating scale of missions. Feels more like PMC/Military stuff nowadays... Also their lack of taste with certain subject matter recently is bum. (oil rig featuring ecoterrorists ((thats fine that happens)) who share their color with Just Stop Oil, with a moment in the trailer where they find a oil rig worker hiding and then one of them say "hang them theyre all monsters anyway". It feels cartoonishly evil and lacks the nuanced and complex morality of other levels, like the one with the sick family member, while also not feeling very.. swat. Overall, games feels like a military game (streamer mission comes to mind) with an increasing lack of nuance seen from previous content. I think they should down the stakes and lower the situations going on to a reasonable level for who we play as. Not every level must be nuanced, nor does every level have to be hard and horrific.
Kinda the point of it all. Librarian has brought the point up a few times in just the two videos of this series so far. The US as we know it is gone in this world. Civilization has practically collapsed, and now everything is more or less an all-out war between criminals and the police forces, which are more or less PMC levels of militarized in this case. You play through what is a realistic 'over the top' amount of civil unrest given how much pressure is put on the lower-class due to political issues and such. The entire country is basically in a state of martial law, and in half of the levels you aren't even facing off against 'upset civilians' but actual ex-military/police, potentially those who didn't agree with the path the police forces took and disbanded to take their own path towards what they believe is 'moral'. It's supposed to be something that gives the common man pause for thought on the topics and matter within the story. Yes, some of the levels do go way far into the 'authoritarian' angle for the player/police, but given what a lot of the Suspects are doing/suspected of doing, and the context of the kind of geopolitical place the country is in, it makes sense really. In fact, I feel like the game could get away with even more 'Are we the bad guys?' and it would feed the vibe just as well.
@SebTheSamMarten the game doesn't give me that at all. It feels like LA but a little worse and with super criminals active who can tank multiple bullets. It doesn't feel well executed at all nor do I feel it really gets across what it's trying to say. The earlier levels- and some levels- do the SWAT thing very well with moral ambiguity and leaves players to their own conclusions. It's a really great way of doing this kind of thing. There's still the extreme evil disgust of people present with the side of giving food for thought. The game doesn't do this very well and alludes to IRL events in a poor manner that comes off insensitive with the subject matter the game tries to talk about, like I mentioned.
Did you play Swat 4/3? There’s literally a mission with a suitcase nuke and an army of communist terrorists. Whether or not you want it to be a certain way, the game is pretty well in line with it’s inspiration and the accepted “peak” of swat games.

I wasn’t aware there were so many John Freedom fans in this community
Watch out for his arch nemesis, Jake Fascism.

Ain't nothing wrong with some irony
I’d say miscarriage kills more children than guns

30:00 I really like how this is considerably less of an issue should you choose to take a more compact weapon with you.

I got this game and I was not ready. It took me a lot of tries just trying to deal with The Left Behind.
No more jokes about CSAM because I think Valley Of Dolls is the darkest level in Ready Or Not

I mean he’s playing a videogame, not risking his actual life or the lives of others.
Tactical candle is a go!

1:28:55 was the clapping for emphasis or were you suddenly accosted by an army of mosquitoes?
the hotel level is the hardest, the enemies are the most accurate on that one
Use a stinger launcher and you basically enter cheat mode. Just be aware of friendly Fire. I would love to see you try the Dark Water's levels
I was just watching the first video lol
I hate the mindjot mission. My whole squad gets merked in the data center
In swat 4 you could use the optiwand to peek around corners, can you do the same in this game?
Yes
i really hope in the next mission he shows the monster
RON!! YAY!!
Man, this game is so stressful
