M3E is ALL about keywords and has a lot less of a focus on mixing and matching models like M2E did. That's probably one of the biggest differences I've seen.
As a newer player, this is definitely helpful! The tricky bit with ressers as a newer player (mostly play/ed seamus1/mcm1/VS1) is that most the masters are good and strong, but as someone who's been learning by playing in keyword, a lot of in keyword stuff is not great (except VS, who only has a couple "hyper specialized" students). I think this will make balance adjustments tricky, as boosting experimental would really help mcm1's viability, but would now risk putting mcm2 straight up into that S tier for example. Definitely an interesting faction to play though!
It's a good point. Very few masters / keywords in Ressers are "straight forward". There's very little shallow play in this faction! But that makes me love it even more, it really rewards high level play. Lots of room to grow as a player within the green gang.
@@dougbrecher5677 that's exactly how I feel. I'm losing a lot but learning a ton every game, but I'm basically forced to learn lots of very edge case rules, once I've got the experience to turn the "learning moments" into wins, I feel ill be a more "complete player" than I would if I had played a different faction.
I feel like you forgot the simple trick to ignore von Schtook's resistance trigger: Declare any trigger of your own. Against any model that targets df and can reliably declare triggers, he's pretty squishy.
Got to Molly and now I just gotta comment: Molly2 is so much better bc Noxious Nephilim and you guys seemed to forget it. Helps Molly1 too. Molly is also my bae so might be subjective here. I mean,Molly2 isn't so good at buffing the faster Forgotten Minions but those aren't the models she needs to buff. She makes the bigger guys faster and position them better and maybe that wasn't as relevant in GG2 but in GG3 she is so much better bc Stash and Break. :) But yeah,at the time of this video they couldn't have known.
Could I ask why Mei Feng is apparently an auto-win vs Jack Daw1? I feel like a lot of Mei Fengs tech just gets wholesale ignored by most of Daws crew, while she's still doing a lot of discarding.
The biggest thing I can think of is the large amount of ping damage from her heated iron ability that can be triggered from the metal gamin that she spawns (RE: Mei Feng2). Consistent + non-resisted ping damage that gets around incorporeal + terrifying.
Guilty works with this and allows u to make use of the "on your heels" triggers sprinkled across his and the Hanged stat cards. It's a GREAT movement trick.
It means it's a low skill level or fairly straightforward and can be powerful but easy to counter or has clear obvious weaknesses. So you can generally beat lesser skilled or knowledgeable opponents but will struggle against higher level competition with that master.
That is true, but I will say ... since we recorded this in GG2 things have shifted a bit and many lower tier masters are AMAZING in GG4 for example Molly1 might be one of the best masters in Resser for GG4. The ebbs and flows of time.
@@DangerPlanet1337 I was looking at the arcanist one last night and as Collette was being put in the GG2 trash bin, I kept thinking that she must me pretty solid now. Is this a fair analysis coming from a noob with only like ten games in his pocket?
around 1:54:00 you say Gwisins can be one shot like its common. But it has 7hp and incorp, so you need an irreducable or incorp ignoring 7 damage attack. Sure def is only 5 but most big hitters have stat 6 attack so its not that huge a diff. And with the grave spirits touch theres also an annoying terrifying gatekeep on the attack. So how is it common, i dont get it, i dont think anything does 7 dmg irreducable in the game, even papa leveticus can only krank out 6 with a severe and necrodecay trigger.
He's saying that you want to use a Master activation (1-shoot here MEANS using the activation of a single model) or a fast beater to kill the model in a single activation so that GST doesn't trigger. It's not easy, but it's something almost any beater master can pull off or something like Hinamatsu or really any flurry beater w a few high cards in hand. He's not saying w a single attack.
"Just huff glue and play Ressers" is really shitty take. Which is a shame, because other than that repeated comment, the discussion is really interesting. Kind of soured me on it every time "Mr. Glue" spoke up.
This episode he was unbearable. He's a great player but the smug satisfaction about blurting the most bland "burn" (I guess?) was lowkey cringe. Hell I don't love Ressers either but damn, give it a rest
This content kinda sucks tbh. Everything is called “trash” or just being discarded for low effort champions. If anything this is highlighting how unbalanced the game is or how objectively useless these tier lists are for new players. People say f 40K or aos cause if it’s community but then the content generated is literally same af.
I used to play Malifaux back in 1e and I'm just getting back into it now. Watching this video was super informative as a returning Resser player.
Changed allot since 2E for sure

You could just make a soundboard of “it’s trash” and play it any time the first dude talks. Really meaningful addition to the discussion.
For real.
The great Kirai2 debate of 2022 will rage on forever!!!

Light of illios is Shockwave 3 so that it lines up with the range of shade of delios. That way you set up the measuring for handing out traits
Really enjoying these tier lists

What upgrade would you give Seamus 2 ?
Whisper
Daw2 Inaudible Whisper trigger is enemy only for the target, so a relenting friendly doesn't work for that.
That'd be true if Guilty wasn't a model in his keyword.
